TruckerAL Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Just wrapped this one up today. Parts box special build here. The list of things done to it is as follows, in no particular order: custom made 16v72 Detroit using 2 kit engines and parts bashed together, intake piping is from the parts bin. Rear rims and tires from the double header pup trailer kits, frame cross members from the AMT Mack R model, White Freightliner 1/4 rear fenders and modified sun visor, 3d printed drive hubs, and a whole bunch of other little odds and ends to list off. This build was great, and the engine swap was even better. Enjoy! 2

Jim B Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Really great looking Transtar. Surprised the 16V72 fit under there. Very well done. 1
Dutzie Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Great looking build. Love the engine work. Great job. 1
trick my mixer Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Great looking truck especially with that big power. I especially like the visor. Gives it an attitude.,! 1
TruckerAL Posted November 12, 2022 Author Posted November 12, 2022 Thanks guys! I'm surprised that engine fit in there as well. No shaving, sanding, or trimming of the frame, interior tub, or anything. Engine fit right in there with 0 issues!

leafsprings Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Wow! These Transtar builds are getting better and better. Almost no limit to the variations possible. Really like the old school chromed steelies on rear with Rockwell hubs and lively paint scheme! 1
happy grumpy Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Another great build Alex. The transtar is my favorite cabover. We used to see these all the time back then. Great color choice. I am so glad round 2 issued this kit. I built 2 of these, the original ERTL and the new 4070a 1
gotnitro? Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Now thats an engine swap ! !!! Gorgeous paint work on your 4070 1
vincen47 Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 (edited) Well, that’s some impressive power under there, just try to keep it on the road with the shiny side up, and the greasy side down. Great build! Edited November 15, 2022 by vincen47 1
TruckerAL Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 I'm overwhelmed by all this feedback, thanks guys! Now that I know it was easy, I'll have to do it again one day lol
