ModelcarJR Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I painted this one earlier this fall as a Halloween theme, orange and black. I missed it by a few days but I'll build this one next. The paint is Tamiya Orange and Dupli-Color Ebony Black. I rubbed it out yesterday and touched it up. The seats and door panels were previously painted white but I may change them to orange. I've built this one before with frenched headlights and taillights but this one will be more box stock. I'll detail the engine a bit and that will be about it. Thanks for looking! ? 3
ModelcarJR Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! I removed the chrome plating from all the engine parts and painted them in the cold. Also painted the seats and door panels orange. Working on the engine now. Thanks for looking! ? 3
ModelcarJR Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Finished engine and interior. Blue screen on the computer. Plug wires and fuel log added to the engine. Thanks for looking. 1
slusher Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Great looking interior and your engine is excellent!!
KWT Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 This is looking awesome. So is the interior the same orange as the body?
ModelcarJR Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks, Carl, Steve, and Jeremy! I appreciate your comments! Yes, Jeremy, the interior is the same color as the exterior, except that the exterior is over gray primer while the interior is over white and I flatted out the interior a bit and then gave the interior a sprits coat of color to bring back a bit of a sheen. BTW, I use the same Tamiya orange for Chevy engines. I like to keep things simple and nobody will really notice and you can't find Chevy Engine Orange anymore.
NOBLNG Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 That paint looks great John.? I like the detailing of the engine too.

ModelcarJR Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 Thanks, Greg and Jeremy! I appreciate your comments! Jeremy, the orange is Tamiya TS-12, Orange. Finished the chassis and wheels. Now its time for a mock-up before I start gluing everything together. Looking pretty good! Thanks for looking! 1
