Gramps46 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) I just discovered this 1967 Volkswagon Deluxe S2 23 window "Samba" buried behind a truck in one of my cabinets. It is an original Revell kit, H1267, built in the 1960s and quite detailed for the time with opening doors, rear panels, undercarriage and engine. Edited November 27, 2022 by Gramps46 1
1959scudetto Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 That is indeed a survivor, Gary, with a certain amount of patina - old VWs offered technical simplicity combined with reliability.
Street Rod Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Very cool VW! Glad to see it survived all these years.
cobraman Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Cool looking 23 window Volkswagen ! Can't believe what the real ones go for, Yikes !
stavanzer Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Neat Kit! I grew up with one. My Folks had the Classic White over Red 23 Window when I was young.
echo Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Very nice condition for it's age, well done too.
Zippi Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Your 1967 Volkswagon "Samba" still looks pretty good for being that old. Still a nice looking build.
Oldcarfan27 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Amazing that all the hinges still work, very fragile. Cool van, thanks for sharing.
Dutzie Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 This is one of my favorite rides. Love VW buses. Great looking build.
