happy grumpy Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 A newly tooled kit from Heller. Rare subject and ease of assembly, I could not resist. Builds up nicely, the multi piece body doesn't have fit issues although you will have to paint before final assembly, like the samba bus from RoG . I wanted to represent the box art, not an exact match but close enough. I think I will have to make a French market background for the mounting French cars I am building. These new Heller kits are a nice departure from their forbearers. They are well engineered and finely molded. My French car holy grail is the Citroen DS19 from Ebro but the one I found are way out of my budget. I have never seen a Heller DS19 in 1/24 scale. anyway, thanks for looking and keep on gluing! 5
SpikeSchumacher Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Nicely done Mario! I have one of these in the stash that I am contemplating building as a "slightly customized" baguette delivery van ? Cheers 1
Jim B Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 (edited) Well, that's a little different. Nicely done. Edited December 13, 2022 by Jim B 1
espo Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Great looking finishes. This body style is so homely it's cute. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Really beautiful build Mario. Félicitations! Brings me back to my childhood in the sixties when we had french cars imported to Quebec. Lots of Renaults around back then. It was special and this build brings back these good vibes, so thank you. 1
grodudulle77 Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Nice looking Estafette, well done !! ?? 1
Zippi Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Nicely done Mario. Matches the box art pretty good.

I am working on a background that will reflect a European vibe to photograph my import models. Might take some time though. "So much plastic, so little time "?
1959scudetto Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Excellent build, Mario - looks like the box-art. To my knowledge, Heller did not make a DS kit in 1/24 (only 1/16 and 1/43). 1
DumpyDan Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 I was in England in January and was able to pick one of these up for a great price. It is so different, hope to build it this year. Thanks for showing great looking build. 1
Modelbuilder Mark Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Looks great. Really dig your backdrop here, you have links to more on that?

I can't think of any specific one but if you browse thru the threads , especially in cars under glass you'll see most of my builds using a background there . I post often.
