cobraman Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 This model was used as a test of the lil Ed Roth Rattle Bomb spray paints . Paint is out of scale for models but as I said this was a test of the paint and this was the largest kit I had to test on . The kits include a Spray max 2 K clear . Mine was defective so I used Tamiya clear as it was handy . The color I used was called Tropic Cali flake . I bought the 3 can kit but a 4 can it is also available . Built mostly out of the box . Wired the engine with what I had . Also am including some pics of the other two I have built . Not a perfect kit but I enjoy putting these together . Thanks for looking . Oh I should mention I tried this paint because I was thinking of using it on a pedal car kit I would like to build for my grandchildren . 1
vamach1 Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Very nice Cobraman on all three builds. I remember building this kit years ago and how some things did not fit that great like the exhaust headers to the side pipes but it looks like you have not had to many issues. I’m not sure why but now I have a craving for root beer. ?
KWT Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 Very nicely done, Ray. That color looks pretty good on it. Even if out of scale, it gives a show car look... Oh and that orange one really rocks.
TooOld Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Another sharp looking Cobra Ray ! Yes the metal flake is out of scale (I'd hate to see it on a 1/25 Cobra) but I like the paint and plan on giving it a try on other projects , thanks for testing it for us !
David G. Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 The paint came out great! Like you said, it's a bit out of scale but it laid down well enough. Overall, a great looking set of Cobras. David G.
PappyD340 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Awesome group of Cobras Ray, very well done!!
