BIGTRUCK Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 This build up of a 51 Chevy with a some what hopped-up 6cyl. dual carbs and dual exhaust with header , worn faded paint and chrome, and blanket on the front seat was more work than if I built it as a gasser or custom. The seat cover was made from a tissue coated with a mixture of warm water and Elmers glue sprayed onto the seat, when it dried it hardned and contoured to the seat and painted. All parts were kit parts. Wide whites were painted on. Bare metal foiled and painted Hunter and Light mist green then slight wear was being done as I was building. 3
Zippi Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That's pretty kewl looking. I'm liking it. Nice job.
TransAmMike Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Ditto what "Zippi" said. The patina is perfect?
happy grumpy Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Nice work on the aging and weathering. Sweet build.
espo Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Like the seat idea and the paint patina. Reminds me of my old high school parking lot.
ismaelg Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Ken! Long time my friend! Love the character on this build. Worn but taken care of. Love it! Thanks, Ismael
