PatW Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 The Tamiya Subaru Impreza, fits together in possibly the best, easiest form of any kit of it's type. Plus the original cars were built just 20 miles away at the Prodrive complex in Banbury Oxfordshire! This is, the tenth one in my collection. 3
Pierre Rivard Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 It's beautiful Pat. Is it curbside? If not pop the hood please? Sorry, the bonnet! ?

absmiami Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 sorry Pat - just gotta ask - whats in your driveway - or garage /// ???
PatW Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) Thanks Jim. On the driveway Andrew? It's a Renault Captur (no E at the end as it's French) ECO Diesel with key-less entry and start and an ECO switch on the floor, permanently switched on. 54mpg round town and 63mpg on a run. They call this type of car here a CrossOver. Diesel Fuel here at present 176.9pence per litre X 4 £7.08p per gallon! Edited February 19, 2023 by PatW

slusher Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Great looking model and great looking ? one in your driveway !
Mattilacken Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Nice! I like these allot but haven’t come around building one yet. Is that paint or just polished plastic, I ask because I know the plastic on these are good!
PatW Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) Hi Anton. It's just polished plastic. In the UK the price of spray cans has gone up and the shipping is the same price of the cans, so doubling the prices. Yes the bodies are very good quality so polishing is popular on this Tamiya model, I think that there are about four or five Scoobies by Tamiya showing slightly different models of the WRC car over a number of years of rallying. Mattilacken Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Same here, thats why i try to go to AB. Or i order a bunch of things but that gets expensive as well.
PatW Posted April 27, 2023 Author Posted April 27, 2023 Even my Spray cans from the local hardware store have gone up over £1.50 to nearly £6. That's not happened in over 5 years!
