I am interested to hear how this works out for you.

Well sir, just took it for a ride. I’m very impressed with the whole thing. The service before the sale was fantastic. The delivery was great. Fed ex did a great job . The assembly was easy. The ride is great. The quality of the bike is pretty good. No rattle’s or noise. Very solid. The bike really moves. It has a speed of 20 mph but you can unlock it and it will do 32 mph. The paint finish is really nice. So far I’m very happy with the whole experience. Oh ….and the throttle is great. If you get tired, just hit the throttle and you move . I live in a very hilly area and the bike has no problem going up hills. I was a little surprised at the acceleration up hill. The brakes are hydraulic and stops smooth and fast. Yes I’m impressed. I’m 67 years old and get a little tired on a regular bike. Be honest with you I just about died riding around the neighborhood with my regular bike. So I decided I need a little help. I did 6 months of research on e-bikes . I do not know everything but I do know a deal. And aventon was on sale so I had to do it and glad I did. Hope this helps.

Good Looking bike!  I just broke my long time mountain bike (r.i.p. GT Avalanche).  I had that bike for over 30  years.

I bought this budget fat tire off Amazon for under $300.00 and put some of the goodies from the GT on it.  Its just a single speed, I dont ride hardcore anymore.519238339_FATTIRE.thumb.jpg.2c2269b8126fac5d86b22e56e69405ca.jpg

Cool looking bike Bruce but that seat ?  I could never wear that seat ! ?

Thank you Ray. I thought so too on the seat but it’s surprisingly comfortable. So far. Only went 10 miles on her then a snow storm hit. We now have a few inches of snow. Some YOUNG people will ride in it but I’m too old for that.

Thank you Bruce.  I am interested in an E bike. Just don't want to get stuck to far from home. LOL  I have not looked into anything yet. Just kicking the idea around.

So was I but decided to pull the trigger after I rode around the neighborhood. Nice thing is that you still can pedal with 5 levels of assistance or you can throttle your way back home. I have a really big battery because of ( what riders call range anxiety) . Do not want to run out of battery. So far my 10 miles I have 99 percent of my battery left. I can probably do a 40 mile run without any issues. And that’s enough for this guy.

My first electric bike was a Volt fat bike that I bought online. Besides being a bit too big for me, it had the motor in the rear wheel and it didn’t have any sort of torque sensing ability. So with the power on, it really didn’t matter what gear I was in. I could pedal as slow as possible and motor sensed that I was peddling and it propelled the bike according to the power level I had set. I know some rear hub systems do have cadence and torque sensing abilities. Anyways, I sold it and bought a mid-drive Cube. This one has no throttle so I always have to pedal and it simply adds to whatever effort I put in. I like it a lot better than the Volt.

Put clear bra on parts of the bike I keep hitting when I put my foot thru. It’s been snowing here for some time now. Still really have not put her thru her paces.

Putting a few miles on my bike. Bought a receiver on Amazon.Bought a bike rack o Amazon also. Modified the rack. Was not going to pay $800 for a bike rack. So I made a front mount so the bike would not go anywhere. Rode and put a few miles on the bike this weekend. Without much effort you can travel a long distance. I’m going through a modeling slump so I’m riding my bike.

Pretty cool machine. I assume the batteries are in the one big vertical frame tube...?

Yes sir it is. The reason I bought this bike was my doctor said I needed more cardio. I pulled out my old stingray , rode it and realized that I’m not a kid anymore. So I did a lot of research and came up with this. It’s not the fastest, but still goes 32 mph. It’s not the longest range on the battery. But will still go 40 miles on a charge. I rode it 10 miles and did not even feel it. The way it is designed is what I like. The battery is in the frame, the wiring management is hidden in the frame. The bike design is clean. The quality is fantastic. And I’m a picky sob. No e-bike garbage hanging off the frame. It’s a rear hub drive, which will get me home even if my chain breaks. Fat tires so I do not get stuck in bad road surface. Or those storm drains, the customer service is very good. I ordered it on a Friday and it I arrived on Monday. Assembly was easy. In a world where things are just garbage, this purchase was enjoyable. My wife really likes it and if her back surgery goes well, I’ll buy her one also. Honestly I have not had this much fun in a long time.

Electric bikes.... what's the point if you're not doing the cardio work? A few pedaling before the the battery takes over and you're golden. That's not exercise.

Try it and see

If the bike has a torque sensing system, then the motor just adds to the effort the rider is putting in according to the power level that is set. I believe all mid-drive bikes have and some if not all rear-hub motor bikes have torque sensors. I ride my electric bike far more often than my regular bike now. If it’s really windy outside, it doesn’t matter, I’ll go anyways.

I would never spend stupid money on an electric bike even if I tried it. I need the physical exercise not the electricity to do the work for me biking.

Well Ray I better not. Some people really get jealous and it’s not a good thing. But I did make a skid plate,( it’s to protect the wiring under the bike. ) ok not exactly a skid plate but it’s made of carbon fiber that I had laying around for a corvette c8 project. It works and looks good Under there.

Tried to go up the hill on 431 to Lake Tahoe but the trails have a little snow still. Jeremy Renner lives up here. Had a bad accident with snow removal equipment.  Looks great as his recovery was incredible. Broke over 30 bones. Anyways the trails were not open. Maybe in a month or so. We are pretty lucky living up here. 67656CF9-5232-4132-914F-BA999850616B.thumb.jpeg.550f867226ff806b20fad61940a96494.jpeg
