No offence but keeping this Item Up for so Long shows me that there seem to be some people in the forum who don't want to forgive. And I do not want to be somewhere I'm not tolerated even if it's maybe just a minority of users.

I think you are worrying about nothing Jurgen, it may be that some of the humour doesn't translate as intended.

OK, maybe. I didn't want to offend anyone, especially not the ones who understand and and support me! Thanks for that by the way!

I was just amazed that the whole thing was such a big deal, especially after I had honestly appologized!

I'm willing to start over, wiser than before, if the offended are willing to forgive and forget. Everyone makes mistakes! It's part of being human!

You’re taking this a little too personally Juergen.

As Bill said, it’s not a personal thing against you.

If you stick around for a while, you’ll quickly discover that these types of discussions morph into other avenues very quickly.

Nobody is directing any of this at you.

It’s just become a general discussion about a common phenomena.

Besides, anybody on this board that tells you that they’ve never added their 2 cents at some point where it didn’t belong, is blowing smoke up your backside.

 

You just have to be like a duck and let it roll off of your back.

Either that, or if it’s really bothering you, just send the admins a PM and ask them to lock the thread.

They’ll be more than happy to oblige.

Seriously Jurgen, we are all happy to have you here.

You misunderstood Ace. He was not saying that nobody wanted anything to do with you nor your posts but that the topic of discussion here has moved on past your original error (whatever that actually was since I never bothered to look).  

 

EDIT: OH I made the rookie mistake of not checking for a second page before posting and now this looks silly! What the guys above me said.

There are a lot of Americans in this community and we do tend to go on about things, long past the point of reason sometimes. (He says as he makes his own contribution! )  This discussion has crossed into that zone, taken on a life of its own, and left you behind.  

It's no longer about you Jürgen, there's no need to take any of it personally. Just hang on and enjoy the ride, if you're so inclined.

BTW, any of you can feel free to post photos to any of my threads as long as they're generally related to the subject matter.

Jurgen, welcome.

And if you are going to hang around on here one thing I have learned is you need to rise above the trolls.

No matter what you do or say, someone is going to tell you that you are doing it wrong. If they take it too far, there is an ignore button.  I have a few people that were trolling me on ignore. My experience on the forum has been great ever since.

I see a lot of replies about thread hijacking. I'll approach this a little more constructively than others have.

I guess thread hijacking is something to watch out for. Keep a thread on topic. If you want to talk about something else, start another thread. There are no limits to the number of threads you can start. Plus if you start your own thread, then you have a place to talk about the thing you want to talk about and everyone that replies is there to talk about that thing you want to discuss. It's a win win situation.

Have fun. Ask questions. Show off your builds in the right areas. And deal with the trolls by using that ignore button.

What impressed me, was , ....that Jurgen, had the strength to apologize for his excitement ( as to which I took it for ) apologizing these days is something that rarely happens... I have been on the site for a while and have been quietly slinking around and yes , you guys are great and this is a friendly place to hang out and Jurgen will be just fine. I thought it was cool that he thought enough of it, .... all, his 'eagerness' , and all the comments to sit back and take the time to reflect... that was kind of cool.... yeah, we all make mistakes and piss people off, I do it all the time ?, and I am not all koom by ya, but this whole thread, has impressed me, everything will be just great, they are just models , and life is short...  all good stuff, enjoyable read...
