Mothersworry Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Built from an original kit. The top and trunk are operational using pins and magnets to hold them open. Chrome frame is not correct as the real cars frame wuz painted black but on the original kit Revell made it chrome so I let it be. Made a few other mods like recessing the tail light, redoin the headlights, opening the vents in the trunk lid and sum other stuff. 8
Phirewriter Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 ??? Awesome build! Too bad the reissued kit had incorrectly colored pink glass instead of clear so the bubble could be colored correctly and headlights would be correct as well. Really nice! One of my favorite Roth kits.
ybsluos Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Nicest belt of this kit I have ever seen. Great job!
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) Nicely done! Paint is gorgeous. You don't see very many of these built, especially done as nicely as this. Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth traveled with the Goodguys shows one year back in the '90s selling t-shirts. I still have my autographed Ratfink t-shirt, complete with a few flies as part of his signature. He was a very gracious guy, he helped judge the model car show component of the event. -RRR Edited February 26, 2023 by Rocking Rodney Rat
Joe Nunes Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Never really cared for the original paint scheme on this car, however, your color combination brings the design out in a much nicer way in my humble bumbled opinion. Well done! ? Joe
ModelcarJR Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Looks great! Looks like the paint was poured on! Very nicely done! ??
Zippi Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Pretty sweet looking. Nice build. Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth sure had some crazy idea's back in the day.
TooOld Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Well done , you've made a great kit look even better with the mods you've done ! Until now I've avoided replying to your posts because forum rules say that you must use your full real name . . . so That Guy what's your name ?
