Thank you everyone. When you are trying to use a can of paint with goo oozing out of the botton seam. You never know what to expect. I used the chrome pen and chrome foil. But I must have a package of the foil that was going around that doesn't really stick. So I ordered 2 more packages hoping I get the better foil.

And I have to thank Ruben (Ruthless Styrene209) for the kit and the amazing job he did on the hood to make it stock looking.

Great looking Impala David and the foil work around the trim is very neatly done. I had a couple of packages of foil last summer that had adhesion issues but since then recent sheets have stuck much better.

First time I've seen one of these without the domed SS hood.

Wow, I didn't even notice the modified hood initially 'cuz that color just grabs your eye.  Is it the same paint you used on your Aluma-coupe?  Any chance I could get you to list the actual paint info (ex: Testors #1216 Blah-blah Blue).  I guessed Testors because you mentioned a leaking seal on the can. :leaving:

Lots to like on this build.  Nice job!

That was brave of you to spray with a can that leaks. ?. You were right, you dont know where it could go. But you did a fine job. Congrats!

Thank you James, Jeremy, Tom, Joe, Monty and Jeff.

I hope the new foil I got is better Tom. I thank Ruben as he did the hood.

It builds nicely Joe.

Thank you  Monty and yes. Testors leaking cans. LOL  Plus I used it on an El Camino and a 1960 Corvette. I had 2 cans. It’s Testors one coat Lacquer. Color 1836 De Ja Blue. Might have a new name now.

You are right Jeff. It was a gamble. It has Testors wet look clear a then a coat of Pledge Revive floor polish on it.
