Beans Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 I really liked this kit. Maybe because I was coming off of a 70.5 Camaro build that plagued my sanity, but this kit gave me very little issues or fight and went together well. Pretty much straight out of the box on this one. I did replace the wheels with the ones from the 70.5 camaro. I had to sand the bowties off the center caps. Painted with Duplicolor (for possibly the last time -----leaky can mess). The Eliminator side stripe proved to be a problem and I ended up ripping them all to heck and giving up on the decals. That may have been user error but it seemed they fell apart really easily. The side mirrors were not put on because I had put them in the box of another kit and couldn't find them. I will probably paint them up some day and add them. I have yet to master the ability to only black out the recesses in the grill and trying to chrome the very tiny ridges in the tail lights was difficult, but otherwise I am pretty happy with this one. 10
Beans Posted March 20, 2023 Author Posted March 20, 2023 Thanks all. This is probably the most under rated AMT kit. I think it went together easier than almost any other AMT kit I have built in a year or so.
thatz4u Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 nice Cougar, alway liked this kit & earlier ones also
vamach1 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Looks great. Did you go with the Boss 302 engine or the 428CJ?
