This is the AMT 1937 Chevy Coupe 3-1 kit.  I had a hard time trying to decide on how I wanted to set up this 37 Chevy Gasser and I found a pic online that I really like so that's what I'm going with.  I used some brass couplers from my RC plane days on the wheels.  This allows me ton screw the wheels in or out and get the right look.  I didn't like the looks of the stock front axle location as the car sat to high so I lowered it to better mimic the white car of Dave Mullin in the pics.  I'm debating on if I can make the wing on the rear deck lid or not.

Bob - I really like the direction this is going. I just picked this kit a couple of weeks ago and knew I wanted to build a drag car out of it. I have a direction now. What are your plans for an engine? I'll be following your build.

Thanks Brad.  I'm going with a 572 BB.  Not sure it will be fuel injected or naturally aspirated.

My Buddy Roger came over this morning and brought his 37 Chevy Gasser he's working on.  His car has the round radius cutouts on the back fenders which looks great.  I did a trail fit of his body on my chassis and those cutouts looks great so I cut mine out.  What a game changer.

Looks 100% bad ass with the fenders cut out!!! Stance and wheel/tire combo is perfect!

Thanks Dennis.  I may raise the front end just a little.

Thanks Marcos.  I need to get busy and lock a body color in so I can get it painted.

I've been busy with backyard projects that the wife has lined up for me since she retired recently.  Not sure just when I'll be back at the bench but I will finish the build.

Well whatya know, much needed rain is moving in so no painting on the backyard projects and what the wife bought off Amazon has not arrived so I got a little bench time.  I got the torque Arms, Drag Link & Pitman Arm, Shocks, and Torque arm mounts installed.  Not sure if I can install the rear shock as I have cut away the area's in the rear where the shocks would have mounted.  A little work is better than know I guess.  I am itching to get after the body paint.

That’s a lot of engineering goin on there, looking great.

Thanks Roger.  It wasn't to bad since I did a little here and there when I had time.

Well....I wasn't satisfied with the front end height so I tore it apart and reworked it.  I'm liking it now.
