They are KA model wire wheels. Sometimes you can find them on eBay 

I purchased a bunch of sets years ago

Yes.  Working on building both with the italeri kit and Renaissance kits.  Will build both restored version as well as as raced versions…

Excellent renditions of this highly appreciated Ferrari classic: especially nice is the interior and the very fine spoke wheels; Windshield swapping with the Burago die-cast seems to be a good idea!

I have to try that too (have 3 or 4 of these Italeri kits in my stash) - the 250 series are my all-time favorites of all Maranello cars.

Both are stunning. The PE wheels really make a difference. 
What is the reason for swapping out the kit’s windshield? I’m guessing they moulded the ‘glass’ too thick?
