Is it just my perception or do those front seats look too narrow? David G. They likely are. However have to use them on account of the upholstery.
landman Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 The car is back from the glaziers. They managed to put a smudge in one of the quarter windows. Good spot for a decal. 2
peteski Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Looks good Pat! Are you planning on foiling (or painting) the door handles? 1
David G. Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Looks good, I didn't even notice the smudge. David G. 1

mustang1989 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Picking this one back up Pat. Beautiful color choice man. I've used the Molotow Chrome pens before and have had mixed results with them but it looks like you did a really good job using yours.

landman Posted December 14, 2023 Author Posted December 14, 2023 replaced the smudged kit windows with high falutin' ones cut from a blister pack .
landman Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 The chassis would,'t go into the body faor any reason. I had to thin the front panel and cut off about 1/8" off the back so It could sit properly. I managed to put a big smudge in the windshield. One of the guys is trying to wipe it off but I'm sure it will stay. 2
landman Posted December 25, 2023 Author Posted December 25, 2023 Here we are, 99% done. It fought me all the way. 2
landman Posted December 25, 2023 Author Posted December 25, 2023 Maybe if I built a pipelayer, we could simulate this photo....
Big John Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 Looks Sweeet Pat! Must have been fun to drive in the day. I was just going to say 'is the pipe laying dozer next'? Is there room in the garage? 1

I thought I had the plans but all I have is the parts book which would go a long ways in replicationg the various components. However, I'd have to get actual dimensions in order to scale everything accurately.
landman Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 The decals are here, courtesy of Peteski. He must know what a fumbler I am as he included some practice items.? 1
landman Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 I had installed tailights from the stash since the kit ones were AWOL. However, now I have to use some closer to stock on account of the decals. So I started with a clear sprue which didn't work. the number tab on a tailight sprur donated something that will be useable.
landman Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Started the application of the decals. 1
peteski Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Looking good! You started with the toughest one! Probably a good idea to get it over with first. 1
David G. Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Great idea using the sprue tabs as tail light lenses! David G. 1
