fiatboy Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I messed up the intake grilles on my Lambo Countach. I think I have seen this screen before on a Ferrari kit. Can you get this "aftermarket"? Thanks
Curt Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Do you have a picture? It could help to know what they look like.
Exotics_Builder Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Detail Master and Model Car Garage sell various grille "mesh". You just need to find the right size/pattern
peteski Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Here is a source of some photoetched mesh sheets.http://www.planomodelproducts.com/scratch_scq.html
espo Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 I bought a Screen Repair Kit from ACE Hardware that had 5 - 3 x 3 in. screens to repair tears in a window or door screen. My use was for a grill and hood scoop openings on a '68 Firebird. Pretty inexpensive and maybe even a lifetime supply.
Lunajammer Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Fuel screens are a great readily available source of fine mesh too, if you don't mind cutting your own. Prices vary from $3.50 to $20 depending on coarseness(sp.) and material.
NOBLNG Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 I made this speaker grill from a paint strainer.
Muncie Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 The local hobby shop has some screen in various material and mesh - some in the general supplies section and some over in the railroad section. Brass or aluminum are easier to cut with basic shears.
