Thanks Carl.  I used the Half Round .060 (1.5 mm) Item No. 241.

The weather and humidity was in my favor this morning so I got some paint on the wheels & body.  I also got the shocks installed, Tri Power Rochester setup and carbs painted, and the distributor wired.

That's looking great there Buddy!!!!

Thanks.  Still need to paint the Gun Metal on the upper half of the cab then clear the whole thing.

I got out here today and got the upper half of the cab mask off and painted in Tamiya X-10 Gun Metal.  Glad I got it done as it looks like rain for the next 4-5 day.  The masking came out better than expected but I'm a happy camper.  It's back in the Dehydrator for a while before it gets wet sanded, cleared, wet sanded again, and polished.

Tamiya Gunmetal, Light Gunmetal and Metallic Black are great accent colors. I use them often.

David G.

I hear ya David.  I like the dark colors for accent colors.

Really like this build, your color selection works very well with it. I was looking at your tri-power setup and the way you have it only the center carb will be feeding the engine.  If you were to cut that square block on top of the manifold so it is flush then all three carbs would be attached to the manifold.  Not trying to be judgmental, just thought i might be of some help.

Gotta agree a great color combination. It will pop with the clear.

I'm hoping so.  Probably won't be able to get the clear on til early next week due to rain.

Thanks man and I appreciate your input.  I was just going with the one carb so the others are dummy carbs.  I may take a look at adding blocks under the other carbs later.

I got the engine wired and the radiator hose attached but still have to add the clamp.  I have the holes in the block and firewall drilled for the heater hoses that I'll add later.  Still heeds a little touch up but I'm happy with where I'm at with it.

Coming together very well! The paint colors look great as well as the engine and chassis.

I appreciate ya Brotha.  Thanks for taking a look see.

I got the heater hoses glued into the engine and I also found some .109 Dia. aluminum tubing from my RC plane days that worked on the two outer cabs.  I cut them to size and slipped them between the outer carbs and intake manifold.  Didn't even have to paint them as I liked the color.
