Zippi Posted November 3, 2023 Author Posted November 3, 2023 Not really any bench time today but I did get the wheels straightened out. I originally just used a Molotow chrome pen on the inner caps that were made onto the wheels but it didn't look good to me. I ended up taking the stock Chevy hub caps that came in the kit and sanding the backside down as far as I could. I then glued them to the inner hub on the wheels. Looks much better. Granddaughters first basketball game tomorrow morning then off to our last 1:1 car show of 2023. The wife's birthday is on Sunday so no more bench time til next week. 1
Bullybeef Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Just read through this thread Bob, I love the colour combo on the truck, I’ve added it to the vault as a possible combo to use on a period hotrod someday. As usual your work is methodical and clean.

slusher Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I like those dog dish hub caps, they look really good on those wheels.

Zippi Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) I got a little of the bmf on this morning and I'm satisfied with how it came out. I had a decal for the box that I trimmed down to fit. not sure where it come from, found it in my box of spare decals. I'm now fitting the glass and I was going to try and trim out the front windshield but I'm thinking it looks pretty good without doing anything. I need some options on this fellows. Zippi Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 Well....I think I have something that I'm some what satisfied with. I differently didn't like the stock brackets so I modified them and still didn't like them. I started looking through the parts box and found some hood hinges that I have started modifying. I think a little more tweaking and they will be fine. 1

David G. Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Great progress on this Bob! The wheels and foil came out great and I like your idea for the visor hinge. David G.

David G. Thanks David. The visor hinges may not be the best but much better than the ones out of the box. I should be wrapping this one up in a day or two.
