Scale-Master Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 (edited) Resin kit by Starter in 1/43rd scale. I built it straight out of the box with just the addition of the metal antenna, and I made the decals. I also made the vinyl top by brush painting/texturing it with acrylic black. The windows were sun-bleached to minimize the yellowing due to age. WIP Thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/185456-1970-superbird/ Edited October 9, 2023 by Scale-Master 6
Monty Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Once again, the WIP is well worth any modeler's time. Love the innovations (wing supports, brass wing, in-house decal replacement and panel line treatments). Question: are you basically using stippling to create the vinyl roof texture? 1
karbuildr Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Very nice Superbird. In this small scale your detailing is outstanding. 1
David G. Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 That turned out great! Now I'm even more inspired to finish the one I'm working on. David G. 1

drodg Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Well having the same kit but never building I think this looks great. It may be the only finished one I have ever seen! Great job. 1
slusher Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Beautiful, white is the least used color but looks beautiful
