Chris in Berwyn Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 (edited) This is based on the Hobby NuNu M6 GT3 race car. The kit is being featured in an article in the next issue of MCM (issue 222). I decided to turn it into a street-legal car and make it look like something you could actually see on the road. I filled in the scoops and ductwork on the hood, one on the sides, modified the rear pan/lower rear fenders to more closely match a stock M6, filled in the mounting slots for the rear wing, and reduced the size of the diffuser. It's painted in Tamiya metallic orange and topcoated in Tamiya clear. I added a stock interior from my parts box, and modified the dash to resemble a BMW dash. The wheels are from Aoshima, and the tires are Pegasus. It came out just about as I hoped - this would make an amazing "track day" car in real life!! Edited November 8, 2023 by Chris in Berwyn 7
Zippi Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 That looks Super nice and the Tamiya metallic orange paint is really clean looking. The black accents really work nicely with the metallic orange. Lot of Great mods going on here. Great looking BMW M6.
peter31a Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Beautiful work on that conversion project, Chris! That is one sharp BMW.
happy grumpy Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Great conversion and it looks so cool in this color. BMW should take note.
espo Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Beautiful looking paint color and finish. I like the wide body look. The wheels and stance fit it perfectly.
karbuildr Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Very well done conversion and the car looks beautiful in that color. Nice and low and looks fast sitting there.
XYHARRY Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Stunning colour and paint job on this Chris. It's inspired me to use it on my current build, a bay window vw bus. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
TonyK Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Cool! A lot of work and it sure made a great looking car!
