Dan Hay Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 (edited) This kit was the subject of a YouTube Group build. It's chopped, sectioned, front wheel openings moved forward, and other custom touches. Tamiya maroon and clear on the roof, Testors Extreme Lacquer Gold and same brand clear on the body. 59 Chevy front bumper, 56 T-Bird hood scoop, Y block from same T Bird kit, Decals inspired by Dennis Lacy Edited January 18, 2024 by Dan Hay 13
espo Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Great looking Kustom body work and paint. The T-Bird valve covers look perfect for the Y Block engine. 1
TransAmMike Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Yep, great looking all around build Dan? 1

Chuck Most Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Nice! I don't think that old Monogram kit has ever looked so good. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Nice proportions, not too radical on the chop, good choices on the rest of the custom mods. I like it. 1
Dan Hay Posted January 20, 2024 Author Posted January 20, 2024 Thanks fellas! Yeah the kit is a turd, but it was a good challenge and a reminder than you can polish a turd! 1
Dirty Gringo Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Enjoyed the youtube series and really like the final result great job buddy. 1
Sledsel Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Looks really really good!!!! I have heard the kit is a turd, but you would not know it looking at this build! Great job! 1
Dan Hay Posted January 25, 2024 Author Posted January 25, 2024 Thanks guys! It was a fun and challenging build but I’m done with F-100s for the foreseeable future.
Ferbz Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Great build! Very tasteful custom touches ? I painted my custom 50 Ford pickup the same color AND made similar exhaust pipes for it! Great minds think alike they say ?
Street Rod Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Awesome looking truck! Looks very period correct.
