tim08 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Yep, we had a few of them running around back in the day. Your build is very cool!
Zippi Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Nice looking build man. Hey....I was that boy ?
6bblbird Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 I love builds of "real" cars! This one is very well done and a true representation of what a young man's car looked like back in the 60s and 70s. On my street , it was a '57 Pontiac Safari with radiused wheel openings and an orange plexiglass hoodscoop. WF
TransAmMike Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Well "Dan", like Jeff said earlier, thats' "beyond cool"?
Muncie Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 great subject, the model is spot on, (and yes, we sure did!)
Rattlecan Dan Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 Both surprised and pleased to get such complimentary remarks. Thanks folks!
Nitro330 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 This is awesome! And yep, on our block it was my older brothers in our tiny one car garage. Every weekend there was a crowd working on something.
CaddyDaddy Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Looks very much like my first 1:1, circa 1974. ‘Cept mine had a white roof, the trim holes were welded up, Anson’s in the rear, and fake Centerlines in the front
dragcarz Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 My next door neighbor had one! What a cool build, great work!
Andrew McD Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 True hot rodding where effort and ingenuity made up for the lack of big bucks. You nailed it, great job.
Nacho Z Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 The very first response said it all; that thing is beyond coo! Well done!
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Can't thank you guys enough for comments and compliments. In 1961 at 15 years old that was my dream car.
