happy grumpy Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Good old Heller kit. I would not recommend it to someone for their first kit. The model is nice, but it needs love and patience. The instructions are typically vague and sometimes confusing, but the finish model is a good representation of an iconic French car. I had to build it in over a period of time where my patience would put it in danger of being destroyed so I would put it back in the box, build something else and get back at it. There are models that for some obscure reasons seem to fight ‘till the very end. I wish heller would re do this kit to their modern standards. I did the Renault 4 GTL and it’s a real gem. Good to be back posting, Thanks for looking. 5
Mittagskind Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Very nice model and the scenery always makes me smile. I saw this Citroen a few days ago 1/1 in Berlin as a wedding carriage. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me.
mustang1989 Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Good lookin' Citroen Mario. Love the black paint work.
espo Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Great looking paint finish and the contrasting wheels. Your diorama helps to bring this model alive.
1959scudetto Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Fighting (against obstacles and difficulties) or not: you ended up with a very nice model of an iconic car, Mario - your background scenes are beyond fantastic, as always.
Phildaupho Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Looks great posed with such an appropriate background. I was looking for a French license plate but it looks like it might be a Quebec license plate so that's OK.
bbowser Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Nice job on a vehicle way ahead of its time. Heller kits are no picnic, well done.
Yeah Nah Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Glad you persisted Mario. Great model and setting!

We don't get to see much 1;1 over here they are pretty rare. 20 hours ago, mustang1989 said: Good lookin' Citroen Mario. Love the black paint work. Thank you Helmut, I tend to be more tolerant of older kits when it comes to fit issues, much less of modern kits that sometimes can get very disappointing, but they tend to be rare. 19 hours ago, Classicgas said: Well done. When I built the kit I haven't built the background yet So I stuck a Quebec plate on it . They are so rare over here that I decided that I would have at least one in my garage.? 17 hours ago, Jim B said: Great looking Citroën. Really well done.
