This is a redo of my first attempt to build my all-time favorite Corvette. Initially, I tried to combine the most iconic features from the classic ’63 and ’67 Stingrays with other unique features, like posable halo headlights, then gave it modern suspension upgrades, more power, and gullwing doors. It was a lot of work.

There were a lot of problems: the doors didn’t have the right shape, the tilt-up hood and front fender assembly looked heavy and just didn’t fit, plus there were a lot of other serious flaws. But in the end, I surrendered and gave myself a solid C-.

So it sat in my display cabinet for a few years until I couldn’t take it anymore.

I hope you enjoy this go-round. I give it a solid B. There is always room for improvement!

The Gull Wing Doors are a major undertaking. Like the later power train and the colors for the body and interior, and how you combined the split window body with the '67 style hood.

Really really really like the concept and features. This is one of the rare models worthy of building in full-scale.

Done right, it would be a Riddler winner for sure.   :)

Thank you, Bill. I am honored!

Needed the extra clearance of the '67 427 hood, plus I like how it looks over the '63. Thanks for the great comments

That is one gorgeous Vette, the end result shows just how much work you have put into this. Really well done Steve.

Cheers,

David. ??
