XYHARRY Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 G'day folks, here I have my take on the 55 street machine by amt/ertl. Completed in January, 2017. My inspiration for this was a biege and white 55 from an article in the Australian Street Rodder magazine. Paint is Tamiya ts46 light sand with ts26 pure white for the roof and ts13 clear. Built OOB except for a lowered stance and wheels and tyres which are from Pegasus. Trim is BMF. First picture is the 1:1 inspiration car. Thanks for looking and all feedback is appreciated. Cheers, David.?? 15
espo Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Beautiful looking '55. You nailed the look of the one pictured in the magazine. Cleanly detailed body trim and interior. 1

STU111 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 G’day David, just been looking through your past XYHARRY tagged builds. You’ve got a great collection there but l took a particular liking to this 55. The beige and white colour scheme looks great, sort of like a period factory colour and sitting nice ‘n low the way l like them. ?? Good stuff.

Thanks Stu, I would've liked it a tad lower at the front but ballsed it up, maybe I'll have another go at it one day. Cheers mate.
mrm Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Nice David, very, very nice. I wish Street Rodder was still around. One of the few magazines I used to by regularly.
