I sent her the tracking # in the email & she tracked it down after lighting some fires under tails, & informed me that it passed over the scanner at 4 pm I think it was & would be delivered in the morning.. WOW.. She also told me to email her when it arrives if I don't by the end of the day there will be a major problem with the branch PO, she started as a letter carrier & worked her way up, 20+yrs worth.. This is all over the major clusterdub that the Tally PO's were, my congressman got involved, people got fired & some got promoted, but it's alot better! Good on ya. My local region also improved dramatically after my repeated and lengthy complaints, and there's no way I was the only one. They're doing a pretty OK job now, much better...but UPS seems to have taken up the chimp slack. Edited June 11 by Ace-Garageguy
TonyK Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Tracking shows my package is at the Lancaster PA distribution facility on Friday night. Claims I'll get it by Monday 9pm in Oregon. Somehow I don't think so. Not in any hurry to get it but I wonder how the projected delivery date is calculated.

Dave Van Posted July 7 Posted July 7 I THINK I MAY HAVE A NEW CHAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Package about the size of a model box sent from KC KS Arrive and depart from KC MO A & D KC KS A & D Chicago ILL A & D Detroit MI A & D Bowling Green OH A & D Pontiac MI A & R Eastpointe MI A & D Eastpointe MI A & D Roseville MI A & D Detroit MI A & D Pontiac MI A & D Detroit MI A & D Buffalo NY A & D Pontiac MI A & D Pontiac MI A @ Roseville MI and placed in PO Box with same number as mine Post office asked box owner who said they never got a package The End Now....my local post master has been helping me with this and has been great. She was able to find a scan photo of my box and found it was addressed correctly and in USPS format. Where it is now no one knows. She also said this was their fault and should never happen. NICE but I still do not get my package. Do I WIN?!?!?!? 1

Like my UPS packages that leave Charleston WV, come within a few miles of my house, go PAST the local UPS office (within 50 yards) to Roanoke VA, only to turn right around BACK to the local UPS depot. Logistics is the modern day 'Emperor has no clothes'. 1
TonyK Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Now that the USPS has found your package maybe they can look for my July Motorsport magazine. 2
slusher Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Memphis sent me an empty bubble mailer after stealing all my Speedo decals. More then once… 1
ranma Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) Ebay: Decal set from a seller on there. spent 4 days bouncing around Florida, finally got to Indy, then Columbus on July 4th, been in transit to the local P.O. Since then. Should have gotten them Saturday, Then was shown to be Monday, and Now it's unknown to USPS when they will be in my mail box! Ordered a Trailer kit on the the 3rd of July, and Yesterday it was delivered to our door step! Edited July 8 by ranma

Dave Van Posted July 9 Posted July 9 This is not a failure USPS story.....but maybe shed some light. My employer is directly across the street from our Post Office. They mail our checks. Mailed last WED at the local PO. I live 50 yards North of said Post Office. My paycheck was sent to Charleston WV, then Pitts PA, cancelled there returned to Charleston and then into my PO box today at same PO. Logistics.......DON'T ASK QUESTIONS 1
ranma Posted Wednesday at 11:51 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:51 PM I think USPS in Columbus Ohio has an issue with me. Bought decals on ebay. Decals are still in non delivery H e double hockey sticks. Now today I was supposed to get a Model I bought BIN on ebay from Michigan which was in Columbus yesterday afternoon. They decided to send it to North Carolina! for freaks sake I'm just over a two hour drive north west of Columbus. Also have another kit that's coming from PA, that arrived in Columbus today, and supposed to be here tomorrow. Not Looking good USPS!!!
ranma Posted Thursday at 10:41 AM Posted Thursday at 10:41 AM USPS LOGISTIC'S : Package 1. Decals from a seller in Florida. Arrived in Columbus Oh on July 4th, which normally that means that they would be at my Post office Saturday July 5th. Nope delivery date July 7th instead, Fast forward to July 10th still no decals, and no updates since the 8th ! Delivery date un-known arriving LATE! Package 2:.. A Semi truck kit bought from a seller in Battle Creek Michigan. Arrived July 8th at Columbus Ohio with a delivery date of July 9th. Instead of sending it to my Post office in Van Wert Oh it went to North Carolina instead! late last night it departed Gastonia North Carolina for who know's where next! Package 3: A amt north American Trailer from a seller in Pa. Arrived in Columbus Ohio July 9th, and then Arrived at my local Post office early this morning for delivery. USPS using the most efficant route's for Delivery (according to USPS..) So today I'll be going to the local P.O. to see if they can track down the decals package... 1

I'd really like to see exactly how they come up with that. My service has been pretty good for months now, but I've also cut WAY back on non-essential purchases in large part because of the ongoing drama provided by eBay and UPS and USPS.
ranma Posted Thursday at 08:52 PM Posted Thursday at 08:52 PM (edited) This Truck kit will have hundreds of mile's added to thanks to USPS. Left Gastonia , North Carolina. Then it took a trip to Princeton West Virginia , and then to Logan Ohio. Now it's back in Columbus Ohio! Following the tracking it took Interstate 77 from Gastonia NC. To Logan Oh in about 7 Hours. and another hour to Columbus.. Edited Thursday at 09:02 PM by ranma
Volzfan59 Posted Friday at 03:40 PM Posted Friday at 03:40 PM This has nothing to do with a package. A few days ago my stepdaughter, my wife and I received our bank statements from our credit union. We also received one for the lady that lived in this house two owners ago. I made a line through the address and clearly wrote “Return to sender, no one at this address by that name.” All of that in big, clear letters. Guess what I got in the mail today? Same letter marked “Return to sender……” WTH?

While you have no obligation to do this, if I were you I would visit the Postmaster at your local PO to make them aware of this.

Apparently she does her banking at the same C/U we use. I did take it to the post office and gave it to the Asst Post Master. He’s over the rural route carriers. We have a rural route carrier, live in the country. Edited Friday at 08:25 PM by Volzfan59 1

I hope that the Asst. Post Master will figure out what happened why the clearly marked RTS envelope was returned to you and that this does not happen again. What puzzles me is why (if that lady has been a member of the C/U since before she moved) only a recent single statement (not every month's statement since her move) got sent to her old address (currently yours). The mix-up seems to be at the C/U, but your "return to sender" instructions should have honored by the PO. I wonder if the C/U somehow reverted to using her old address (some computer glitch at the C/U)? I guess if you get another one of her statements next month, we will know.

That’s a very good question. Where I live things move at a pretty slow pace, one of those places where you don’t have to lock your doors. I thought about just taking it to the C/U and let them figure it out. 1

Nice to know that there are still places like where you live. Usually in more rural parts of the country.
Monty Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM My latest: Had two separate eBay orders arrive at a central hub at the far end of the state. Both showed making it to the next two checkpoints simultaneously before arriving at my local post office. Both went out early in the next morning, but only one was delivered at the regular time. Several hours later, a USPS Jeep was out making other deliveries in our neighborhood, so technically they made it the same day, but given the size of this town I still don't understand how that happens.
