Wow, this is looking great. Obviously a labor of love for you to blend all those parts together and get it looking this good already.?

Your paint is turning out NICE!!! One of my high school classmates had a Lime Gold '68 Mustang GTCS that his parents bought new for his mother. It had white GTCS stripes. I think the black stripes on your will look bitchen. Can't wait to see your build finished!...

I have gotten a bit more work done today. Added the decals and did a lot of the detail painting. Started assembling the interior and realized I didn’t have the seat belt photo-etch I needed so getting that ordered.

A little more work done. Some detailing of the engine compartment and assembled the engine. Stud in carb so air cleaner can be removed when desired. Also 2K clear on the body. A little trash in the roof but not bad, will sand and polish out just fine in a few days.IMG_4776.thumb.jpeg.887a69e38f091aa0433797d7f1011b9a.jpegIMG_4775.thumb.jpeg.92a8cab9f193a24dfa6a2f42ea0e714b.jpegIMG_4758.jpeg.48f6ba475702960d7592d2243588ca51.jpegIMG_4760.jpeg.b46d36e42522d74b31ba831f06527423.jpegIMG_4763.jpeg.d0e682b76e4a52134c34bf1d875f3c23.jpegIMG_4770.jpeg.890849644b892a49ec4ed6fb2460aa02.jpegIMG_4777.thumb.jpeg.738ba38a8784544baf39fd7eadcb206c.jpegIMG_4779.thumb.jpeg.9281db6d79c77c287b8294b5f7b62a64.jpegIMG_4781.thumb.jpeg.a776f3e7ffd0d12eb61a315c1312f1d8.jpegIMG_4753.thumb.jpeg.f05a387a8a2adb617fed8d6fc0caf46b.jpegIMG_4754.thumb.jpeg.107dc702094d0f3ce069bca2f8078e03.jpegIMG_4755.thumb.jpeg.7223449eb1bf073b511d65785ff4a395.jpegIMG_4756.thumb.jpeg.7295daec2660bd55a65c02e400d2210f.jpeg

A little wet sanding and polishing. Waiting on seat belt photo etch to complete interior before assembly.

Great job.   Paint looks good and you might have mentioned this already but are the decals Keith Mark's?

Exceptional work on this Mustang. Your love for this machine is obvious in the amount of detail you have put into it.  I've always wanted a Mustang, the closest I've got is my 1980 Pinto.?

Looking super detailed! I really like the idea to add lighting in the gauge cluster and the carpeting in the interior. Coming along real nicely.

Thank you. I have been adding gauge light, headlights and taillights to all of my build lately.

The decals came with the resin trans-kit except the trunk decals. I printed those, the one with the kit was too short.

Thank you. I have had a lot of classic Mustangs over the years, we have several now I have already made replicas of. This is one that I wish I hadn’t let get away.

I know what you mean, my holy grail is a '65 Chevelle SS. Had one with a 283 4-speed, loved that car. Unfortunately, one night after consuming some adult beverages I cleared out three fence posts and a bunch of barbed wire. Mostly superficial body damage, I towed it home and planned on building it into a Modified Production or Stock class car. However, my Dad sold it while I was overseas. It was officially his car, he signed the loan and title.

Gold and that green are the perfect colors for a California Special. Are you going to foil-cast the rear quarter reflectors?

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn’t cause to much of a rift between you and your father.

I have a 1968 Shelby photo-etch set that has the correct rear markers. I will be using tamiya clear red and UV clear resin for the lenses.

Installed the glass, inside rear view mirror and installed the engine into the chassis. Being held up assembling waiting on seat belt photo-etch. The keys are already sitting on the passenger seat. :)
