Yeah Nah Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 There's no way I was going to build this kit anything but stock but it does come with a pretty good 350 ci motor that I'll put in something else at some point. 9
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 That is beautiful! I've always loved this series of kits. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Very nice! Not familiar with this series of kits. 1
bbowser Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I love this! Well done, something other than a '32 Ford. 1
Can-Con Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Looks great. Still working on my delivery version. Not to be that guy but ,, you need to turn those tail lights 90 degrees so the tiny Chevrolet bow-tie emblems are not on their sides. ? 1
espo Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Beautiful looking paint finish and colors. Cleanly built. Like that you built it as a stocker, but I'll bet it would also make a great looking street rod. 1
karbuildr Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 What a great build. Beautiful car and model, very well done. 1

Easy enough to do- no rusted tight nuts, bolts or screws on plastic models of 1932 cars! 1

From what I can ascertain back in the mid 80s AMT reboxed some of their old classics into the Connoisseur Series. I've also got that series 1928 Lincoln Sport Touring in my stash. They come up on Ebay occasionally for reasonable prices.
Phildaupho Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Very good looking Cabriolet. I really like your color combinations. What paint did you use for the main body? I have been looking for that shade. 1

XYHARRY Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Beautiful Cabriolet there Garry, really well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Street Rod Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Great looking ‘32! Very clean, tidy build. I have this kit in my stash and plan to build it stock like this. How does the kit go together, any fitment issues to look out for? 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Thanks for going stock on this. It's gorgeous. Nice job. 1

The colour is my usual home-brew of cheap tube artist's acrylic paint thinned with Windex for spraying and then a Future type floor clear over that. The colour I matched by eye to internet photos of the real thing. Can be hit or miss but I lucked out in this case. Edited May 20, 2024 by Yeah Nah

No pull-out-your-hair problems but I didn't bother with the 'working steering' gimmick; though the front ones can still be posed by hand.
