For some reason, I started getting these Reels popping up showing people repairing cars I would have written off. I watch one and then a bunch more. From the signs in the background they seem to be mostly in Russia or in Thailand and places like that. Anyway they take cars that are practically crushed and pull the subframes and body parts out with chains and body hammers and make the cars look new. I can't imagine how the structural integrity of the car could still be there, but it always gets me to watch. There was also some guy in the US who bought a burned out Porsche and rebuilt it from top to bottom, too. I'd think the metal would be brittle or warped after that.

The other thing is YouTubers like SamCracc, Tavarish, and HooviesGarage. They buy exotic cars from wholesale auctions and get them running again. They make me think I need to do that! Then I remember I have an '86 Toyota truck in the shop that I haven't touched in a year.

Cold War Motors for me. Low-key fun without the hype and Scott does amazing work; right now he's splicing together a '60 Impala using a very rotten coupe and a less rusty Biscayne sedan.

There's a couple of those guys I watch, even though I'm not entirely sure why.

Mad4Motors

RRC Restoration

Restored

The Late Brake Show

For me, it's detailers. I don't know why I watch these guys.

Ammo NYC

The Detail Geek

Detail Dane

Like you, it makes me think I should get a project.

Then I remember I have a couple of trucks that are just sitting untouched.

I watch some of the offroad recovery videos until they get to be a repeat just a different trail or ditch.

It started with Vice Grip Garage for me. It just reminded me of some of the things my group of friends had to do when were not as well employed. Also much younger.

The best part are some of the comments, with all of these videos.

A few guys in the 'get rust bucket running and driving' space I find entertaining...usually watch their videos on my iPad before going to sleep at night...

Pole Barn Garage

Junkyard Digs

Rust and Restorations

Others I like in the 'used car flipper and rebuild' space are:

Hoovies Garage (maybe the first channel I started subscribing to years ago)

The Car Wizard  (Hoovie's mechanic)

Legit Streetcars

Tavarish

Watch JR Go

In the road test and review space I like:

The Smoking Tire

Savage Geese

Seen Through Glass

Hagerty's various videos

I can't much stand most of 'em, can stand a few in very small doses.

The ones I like best are Sarah-n-Tuned's builds of her own cars. She's an ex-military aircraft mechanic, knows how to do most stuff right, sweats the details as obsessively as I do...though she sweats different stuff...and is really funny in an offbeat way.

She also is kinda cute, and has quite a following of simps.

Kevin's videos are always great to watch, and I love that he now has Angus helping him out, they are a hilarious duo! Kevin's fiance Junkyard Mook has a youtube channel as well (hasn't uploaded in a few months), and I also enjoy watching his friends Luke (Thunderhead 289) and "Mullet" John (Golden Rust or Bust).

My wife also reminded me that I watch a lot of those extreme auto detailers and those weird rug restoration videos where they take incredibly dirty area rugs and clean them.

Uncle Tony's Garage. I like his down-to-earth attitude, and his genuine dislike of Muscle Car scam artists.

Low Buck Garage. (Really, Really Great Stuff.) He has a pair of WW2 Halftracks, and other odd things.

Steve1989MREinfo. He eats MREs from all over the world.

Blancoliro. Boeing Triple 7 Pilot (777) Aircrash Reports.

357Magdad. Tool Restoration.

PreWarMotoring. (antique cars being driven)

For Models I can only stand two channels.

HPIGuy and MD scale models. Everybody else is just annoying.

The guy at Monster Hobbies Model Car Garage, just grates on every nerve!

The Hat, The Voice, the times he wastes on his silly Intro, the "What's in the Box" foolishness. Sadly, I force my self to watch him sometimes because he shows some really neat kits, that never appear anywhere else on YouTube.

And, of Course, Steve Magnante!

There are others, but that is most of them.

You Do Not Want to ever see my list of Music Channels though.

I want to shout out DDs Speed Shop in addition to the others mentioned. I like a lot of his builds, and Dani's pretty nice to look at too.

I think that Kevin has some of the best carb rebuilds on film within the YouTube comedy shows. That group of kids are funny most of the time and the builds are not always nonsense. Mook has not been on very much for to long.  She is such a goof she makes me laugh.

I like a very few. Started with Roadkill and Roadkill Garage. I like the folks with a lot of personality that are entertaining to watch, even if they are hacks (intentionally or not). Content can be secondary. Gotta say, though, that I'm getting tired of the format. Feed the algorithm! Buy a T-shirt! Like and Subscribe! And now they're all sponsored and have to tell you about it ad-nauseam. Between that and Youtube starting to force commercials down our throats, I've really dropped off watching. To be honest, I have other stuff to do.

I get my hotrod fix from iron trap garage, been friends with Matt for a couple of decades and I like his vibe of authentic east coast hot rods.

I've been digging on Vice Grip Garage for a couple of years or so. Family-oriented programme (literally - his wife and his sons share in the business... and they're feline lovers, too).

I usually watch HPI Guy ; but man alive ! That same music each and ever time drive me bonkers. I'd rather have no music -- just some ASMR type stuff would be better. For this reason, I'm keen on A4 Garage , Mr. Lin's , and a couple other whose nom des artes I've forgotten.

Car Wizard is lots of fun.
