Hmm...

Is the car under the tarp in the intro a teaser?

If so Im thinking a Pontiac from the Collonade generation.

;)

A Collonade from Pontiac in the ‘70’s would be much curvier under a tarp.

I wouldn't read a lot into that tarp reveal, personally.

Not reading much into the current release scehdule for September, either. Guessing they may be looking at what can be done in Q4 to conserve cash, looking like some other stuff will be coming by the end of the year/early 2025.

Money is safe for more Moby kits for now!

Yeah...I know...just my wacky brain ?

'Bout the automotive kits, well always liked the Daytona, but have two of the Ertl era already.

One of those will be the Dee Dee Mcall car to compliment Hunter's Monaco whenever I get to it.

It didn’t look a Collonade, but from what I could see of the shape, it had more of a ‘66-‘67 GM A-body shape to it.  Perhaps a cloned stock ‘66 Buick Skylark?  That would be nice.

I'm excited about the Ford C-600, definitely getting one of those. Also love the Kenworth Aerodyne. Might get one to go with one of my NASCAR trailers.

I wonder if the Daytona still has both the '87 and '88 turbo set ups.

Hello Harry, the new box art side seems to show two 4-banger setups. Maybe these are 87 and 88 versions you're looking for?

How about a version of the Daytona with a transverse V-8 in the front and the back? Sort of a fantasy group B rally car or Pikes peak monster.?

I hope Round2 is holding some surprises for the Fall Quarter, as the last few months have been pretty lean on kits, whether I've liked them or not. Again this month A couple of kits that are to me at least not very interesting. The '56 T-Bird follows on the heels of the '57, and the Dodge is great for the '80's nostalgia guys, but I worked on them, and have no desire for one in scale form. (at least right now) The '56 is a much better kit than the '57, but I remember gripes about the engine being poorly done in the kit reviews of the time.(1990's).

The Truck guys get better served, as the Aerodyne Cabover is a seriously nice kit.

It's probably the '68 Coronet R/T hardtop or a '68-'70 Charger.

I think what's under the tarp is a 68-70 Charger.  Can tell by how far the rear roof sides extend back to the rear part of the quarter panels.  Maybe a re-release of the MPC 68-70 Charger annuals?

The Shelby Dodge is the only thing for me from this crop.

Me too, I'm pretty stoked about the release of this one. I never built one of these back in the day, so now's my chance.

They still have the General Lee and Daytona tools, maybe they could reissue the Charger 500? I'd love to build one of those. Maybe haul out the MPC Chevy Monza as well?

From that same time period, I wonder if they have the Dodge Stealth tool?

...Dodge Stealth...

The Stealth is a very nice kit, I built one in the mid-late 90s; red car on the box. It paired nicely alongside my Revellogram Viper. Would be nice to build this one again.

If the tooling exists (and doesn't fall into the stuff AMT/Ertl had out sourced and no long have access to anymore) it would be the face lifted '94/'95 version.

...MPC Chevy Monza as well?

Oh yes, a lot of us keep mentioning the MPC Monza; that makes me happy that I'm not the only one! I do hope it can return.

IIRC, the yellow "Pro Street" version was the last one, dated 1984. I butchered it and "Hot Streak" back in the day, heh.

The AMT Monza came out a few years ago in a flat box, I believe. I missed that one; was holding out for the MPC version. Let's hope!

Wasn't the flat box version only the custom?
