Brutalform Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I built this before we moved into the new house. Finally got a chance to take a few pics. Not the greatest light, but I have to get some new poster board. The only add ons are the single headlights, and the stacks. I narrowed the rear platform, as I read someone else did here on the forum. Actually that build got me wanting to do a similar one, using the same colors. I wish I weathered this truck more, and not just the platform. Too shiny IMO. 10
BK9300 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Every vehicle is new once! Good looking wrecker. (did the broom come with the kit?) 1
slusher Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Beautiful Peterbilt wrecker! Excellent color choices ' 1
OldTrucker Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Great looking rig, nice color combo too! I don't think it is too shiny. All the towing companies her that have the big rig haulers keep them pristine! 1
trick my mixer Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Never too shiny..LOL Good looking build and colors. 1
Biggu Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Beautiful job Tom… painted just like the box art of the original issue back in the day. Great choice. And I narrowed the deck on my kit as well and that 1/4 inch makes all the difference and changes the over all look to much more realistic. Very nice job and your efforts were well worth it. The truck is really well done. I LOVE the hash marks on the rear plate. Perfect job. Jeff
James2 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Beautifully done, neat and clean. Great color combo and finish. 1
Warren D Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Nice looking wrecker, I like the color scheme. 1
the60falcon Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Very nice build, love doing big trucks. I've got one of these in my stash to build! 1
RoninUtah Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Nice clean build, well done! I built one of these about 50 years ago, when the kit still had the Unilite cab. I probably bought a dozen or so since, for use as donors for resin conversion cabs. Nice to see one done well. 1
Pete68 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Nice clean build of the Pete Wrecker. Nice job on the back of the tow body with the striping.
