Just finished this one a couple days ago. I think everyone agrees that it's a great kit to build and I really enjoyed the process. I built it as a custom so I used only the parts I wanted out of the 182 pieces supplied. There were some minor issues at final completion... the front bumper needs to be adjusted and fitted properly to look just right and the vent windows will simply pop out every time you do a test fit. Windows are not a great fit. A lot of bare metal foil to do and it's hard to maintain a straight line. I decided on using the supplied decals for the side spears and I'm happy I did... I think trying to do them in foil would have been very tough. Would have been nice if they supplied a red version spear in addition to the black or white. I used the black and it laid down well. You get 3 different rear spring sets...the custom ones result in a tail dragger and the competition ones gives you a tail up appearance ... I used the stock set for a level stance. I f you have never done a two-tone paint job this is the kit to try it on... the side spear is perfect to cover up any issues between the two colors. In the end it was a nice build especially because my very first real car was a white 1961 Chevy impala.

Cheers

Very nice, but the brakes has no calipers.

I’ve got this one in the stash and from memory there aren’t any brake calipers in the kit.

Great looking two-tone treatment, and like the way you ended the paint color on the front and rear fenders. The trim looks nice and cleanly done. The engine and chassis detailing has some nice color details.

I thought my AMT 62 looked good, yours looks way better.  Very clean, and excellently detailed. Especially like the engine compartment. The Revelle looks like a better kit,and you did it justice!!

Thanks David... this car lends itself to a two tone paint job better than most.

Yep, great looking '62 Dan.   The paint design is cool and I sure like the engine treatment?

Thanks Mike... The engine treatment is a bit wild but it's supposed to be a custom so I tried to be creative. That gloss purple on the engine doesn't look that bad.

Thanks for the comment... The Revell kit is very well done and it gives you a lot of spare parts... Nice
