Chuck Most Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Built these two '63 models in memory of Plowboy. First up is the '63 Ford F100. It has Conti wheels and wide whites from the Jay's Resin Wheels Advent Calendar, and a 1995 Mustang Cobra engine. Door markings are a combination of Woodland Scenics dry transfers and Moebius decals. It also has a Kentucky plate from Gopher Racing. And now for the '63 Mercury M100 Once again, AMT kit with Mustang Cobra power, a 1997 DOHC 4.6 this time. It has Budnik Muroc III wheels and lo pro whitewalls from the Jay's Resin Wheels Advent Calendar. The hood emblems and flat rear window came from two different Moebius kits, and the tonneau is from the '60 kit. It also wears a Gopher Racing Kentucky plate. 10
hedotwo Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Great builds and great reason for doing them.
Steve H Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Hi Chuck. Roger was my favourite builder one this forum, I miss his input. Really cool to see a tribute build for him. I actually have 3 tribute builds in my head. I will get one of them done in the coming year. Always enjoy your builds sir, well done. Thanks for sharing.
Robberbaron Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Chuck, both very cool! I'm sure Roger would approve. He was also one of my favorite builders. For the Mercury, I would have missed the "standard" flat rear window if you hadn't pointed it out. Very nice job. That sent me to the Google machine to research, and apparently the flat window versions of the unibodies were more common than the "big window" version depicted by the AMT kit out of the box. Crazy to think that Ford was offering both the flat window and "big window" versions of the unibodies in both short and long bed, in addition to all the other non-unibody trucks.
BabyGirl1221 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Plowboy was my Dad! I can’t tell you how much this means to me to see! Even two years after his passing to see people still miss him here is so touching. I wish so many of you could have met him in person. He was even more amazing in real life. I am so blessed to have had him for a Dad. 3 1
Casey Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Nicely done. Roger was a fan of the concrete photo backdrop, too. 😁 1

He will be remembered and missed here for a long time, along with Harry, Lee, and others we have lost. 1
