Looks ready to dominate the next RADwood event 😎 Great color choices. I built this one back when it was a new kit, stupidly traded it off to a friend but kept the stock version I'd built. I keep scouring vendor tables for the same kind of "closet cleaning" deal you got for yours. Tamiya has been recently reissuing some of their oldies (Mugen CRX w/updated decals, Alfa GTV, R5 Turbo, about to reissue Honda City Turbo), so maybe they'll bring this one back out.

But honestly ; I've seen some of those cars in real life.
Personnally, I don't like them. They look exagerated and fake.
A bit like a lady with... Well, you know, silicones and so...
But when building such model, you can go all the way👍

 Very crisp, beautiful build Jason! The interior looks fantastic with your added detail. The mica red is absolutely gorgeous. (Pink primer…🤔 might need some of that) I would have bet there was a silver base the way that colour pops. Foil work is top shelf too.

Tamiya is pretty parsimonious about their automotive rereleases. My rule of thumb with recent releases from them is to pick them up if I'm interested because they might not be back around any time soon. That reissued Mugen CRX is in the stash whispering "build me" as I speak!

This is pretty tame by 80s tuner standards. There's a site called "1000SEL" devoted to 80s German tuner cars where you can see some true horrors!

Thanks Steve! The foil work on this thing was pretty nerve-wracking. Several hours went into sharpening up the trim before primer so I could get crisp lines on the foil!
