Wer sanded and another color coat . Now started BMF , I'll clear it after that. Shouldn't be much longer till it's done. Still have wheel well trim and around the side windows.

Not the greatest paint but I'm happy with it. I don't do a lot of shiny , most just end up with patina. I really like the color but the flake is big.

That looks good to me  if you put down some nice clear on it and then a nice polish, it will shine like a gold nugget!

I have to note that I won´t be able to finish the Estafette. There where so much changes in live this year that I haven´t nearly no time to do anything on it.

I pulled this back onto the bench last night. I've turned an old barbie suitcase into a larger fuel tank that should be good for 700 miles in this. I used some printed parts to make themechanical fuel pump on top of the engine and this will be plumbed into the injection system, which will be connected to the front airdam. The engine has a 75% set back sp this should have great handling but it doesn't conform to any race series rules, for example i took the engine set back from drag racing but the body reinforcing is all rally car. I've started on some period body mods now while i fill the gaps and get ready for paint

You should be OK with the rules. Probably none of them apply for the Cannonball anyway...

Had to flare the front fenders. 

Drivers side shows the cut in the fender and a wedge of plastic to get the flare. Used superglue to fill some of the gap..

Passenger side shows the tape to guide the cut and protect the fender molding from damage.

Roughed in gas tank.

 

More progress. Hopefully can finish for the deadline.
