SpotModel has it on pre-order for about $187. Moderators, if this thread is the wrong location, please move it.

Nicely detailed out of the box. I wonder how difficult it would be to open the hood and put an engine in there?

The hardest part may be to find an accurate engine, since 1948 was the last year for the L-Head V8 engine. Plenty of early OHV Cadillacs out there, but can't think of any aaccurate L-Heads (unless the military manufacturers decide to do a 1:24 scale Chaffee...

The Cad L head seems like a natural for 3d printing...as does the Packard 8, Olds Big 6 and more. Instead 3d printers give us flatheads, Chevies and other stuff done in styrene a million times,

Nice kit, but $187 for basically a curbside model with no chrome?  Yikes!

Yeah, but nobody will ever tool one in polystyrene, so your choices are essentially this or nothing.

So the price while high is very fair, given the amount of work in developing the kit.

Thanks for the preview- they did a beautiful job bringing a stunning vehicle to kit form. The parts appear to be extremely finely done in all of the different media they have included in the box. I can see how the pricing matches the value of the included craftsmanship. Sadly, I won't be able to bring one of those home.

The AMT '49 Ford has an OHV Caddy V8 that might be workable. But a lot of work if accuracy is desired.

What Cadillac engine does the Revell '49 Mercury custom and Woody have?

Really impressive looking kit of a beautiful car. $187 seemed high to me as well until I looked at the video, amazing number of resin and 3D printed parts, PE, decals, high quantity instructions, everything looks  top-notch quality. If you compare this kit with small volume production Model Factory Hiro 1/24 auto kits, it’s about half the price. Looking forward to seeing this one built and posted on here.

It looks great. Reminds me of the car that was built for Earl Campbell by Extensive in Houston.  If I built one, I would trick it out., even though a dark colored one factory stock would be pretty elegant.

While I can somewhat see your point of view because this is a subject that doesn't interest me enough to pay that much I don't really think the price is out of line, especially since until very recently low volume chrome plating services were extinct (Thank you Spotlight Hobbies for bringing it back!)

Up until 10-ish years ago when Modelhaus closed up shop there were many people who paid north of $150 for their curbside kits, which very often only had a flat resin plate for the "frame" as opposed to what this Caddy kit has. Yes, the Modelhaus kits had chrome, but where else are you going to get this subject? And it's multimedia to boot.

The 48 Caddy had a flat head engine V8, 49 was the first year for a OHV V8
