My vission with this car is to do a Wimbledon White car and make it look like it came straight from Dearborn Steal Tubing. Plan is to use MCW Wimbledon white and with the gold intirior. I just want to make it look like a factory R code. The Thunderbolt is by far my favorite car and I'm excited to get started on it.

Great Subject! These cars rank extremely high on the Bad A$$ scale.

Oh yeah! It's just your average grandma car, NOPE, BIG BLOCK POWA BABY.

I would easily put the Revell Thunderbolt kit in my top 10 favorite kits to build. Go together very well and look good straight out of the box.

I haven't really built a lot of modern tooled kits, so this thing goes together like a dream!

I got a lot of stuff done yesterday one of them is the engine. Put spark plugs in and got them in correct firing order, little bit of a chore. I think the big block ford looks amazing in this kit, the tooling is so crisp.

Great looking engine detailing.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I've been working on improving my engine detailing, think it's paying off.

Got the interior done with a hodge podge mix of testors enamels, don't ask me to replicate it, I never could. I am really happy with how it turned out, I always love a good gold ford interiors.

I saw many complicated methods to replicate the cloth online, i found a way more simple way on this kit. I litterly just put a acrylic wash down and it worked really well with the kits raised texture.20250414_210408.jpg.b4f8279ec0ad7701991b7159525ee127.jpg20250414_204008.jpg.a32712751c391ada06463144a6977781.jpg20250414_210419.jpg.9dcefefd2e8b09e0b20a9e3516e4703c.jpg20250414_210439.jpg.979b68f9d0a11a3138270e027434be35.jpg20250414_210451.jpg.df516d2d09577366aa639eee3b0d3f9c.jpg

Looking good.. I too really like this kit but........... The front bumper is a pain because it only attaches to the lower grill. I'd suggest making up some type of mount for it to attach to the frame.

Thank you, I was confused on how I would reliably attach that and that came across my mind too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Knocked my socks off the first time I saw one at the strip. Almost bought one years later, but it was sans engine. Bet you'll do a nice job on this one. (Like your engine).

Fantastic job on the rear seats, and the entire interior! Very realistic looking engine detailing.

I agree with the others, that the Thunderbolt is one of my favorites also. I’ve built 14 of them, pretty much because I had enough decals to build that many.

Got the chassis in my custom mix primer and finished the rear end. I also got the grill and rear tail light assembly done, the front bumper had to be stripped then sprayed aluminum. Oh I almost forgot, got my tires sanded.20250416_212634.jpg.b5bc4ac794743b5c7cfc0f2428ac6b2f.jpg20250416_212844.jpg.4199c3e05c5e597e568e4e1edb575b26.jpg20250416_212724.jpg.763850850d31c9617a6439741d798c6a.jpg

That's a good looking 64 Ford Thunderbolt there Elliot.  I really like the body style and the detail work is looking the part man.

Oh yeah, that's one of the reasons why this is my favorite car!

Got the body in MCW Wimbledon white and rustoleum enamel clear. Just needs some wet sanding and polishing (my lighting isn't the best).20250420_203030.jpg.b6dcceb067497f38e977796401ce6450.jpg20250420_203051.jpg.c43562884b29520347dbef50bc43622d.jpg

Also got the chassis and wheels sprayed body color. Once those dryed, finished up the chassis.20250420_203125.jpg.8579e170834b0e58e618c7bb1f0735da.jpg20250420_203141.jpg.f06663ee39e1b2f9b03425223705f92d.jpg20250420_203154.jpg.a0fe57efab4a0b5147e1316680a66df3.jpg

Thanks for looking.

Elliot.
