Bucky Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Very well done! The little details really stand out on this build. I like how you did the t-tops.
catpack68 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Very nice work! I have a buildup MPC 77 Volare RR Super Pak I want to restore someday.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Nice. I've only ever seen one. Someone in an apartment complex had a black one that was in really bad shape.
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted May 25 Author Posted May 25 Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!
Tyreman Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Impressive to see you doing a fantastic job representing the lesser known cars...they look fantastic!
Dragline Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Beautiful! I have one of these and it needs to be built. Of course I'll open the box.... Put it on the shelf and forget it for a while. Until someone posts another beauty like this.
Musclecars Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Very nice Volare Roadrunner. I remember when those hit the streets,a guy that worked for me at a gas station had a silver one while I had a '75 Duster with a day 2 look. It was like a mini car show here they were parked. The re-release of this kit is getting pricey even though it's not been around for a few years now. I built one and sold it with regrets now
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 @TyremanThanks so much! I love underappreciated cars and you'll see many more from me in the future.
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 @MusclecarsThanks! The MPC '80 Plymouth Volare Road Runner Fuzz Duster kit was reissued, but the MPC '77 Plymouth Volare Road Runner was never reissued. Round2 is doing a great job bringing old kits back to the store shelf so maybe one day we'll get the '77 reissued for the first time in nearly fifty years. I do have two '80 that I'll try to restore. I got the rebuilders because just like you said the reissued one which are '80 models, the last year for the Volare are getting pricey.
