HMW Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) A tribute to my father. Who passed away before I got to build this for him. He bought his 1969 new. Limelight green met, 383 with a four speed, two tone green bench interior. He upgraded the wheels shortly after purchase with keystone Klassics. I modeled the interior in solidworks and 3D printed, as the Johan one lacks detail. I also modeled the keystones myself so they would work perfectly with the AMT wheel backs and tires. Body: 69 RR by johan Chassis: 68 RR by AMT 383 engine: 68 Charger by revell Interior: Custom Heaths model works Wheels: Custom Heaths model works Cheers Heath YouTube video with some build details. https://youtu.be/vZBXMwJ-jRw Edited June 30 by HMW Added interior photo 18
espo Posted June 30 Posted June 30 My condolences on the passing of your father. In addition to the beautiful paint work and finish, the engine and chassis detailing is all very realistically done. These cars defiantly represented a factory hot rod of the day. 1
karbuildr Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Outstanding build. Beautiful color, very nice details. I'm sure your Dad is smiling down at you for duplicating his Roadrunner. 1
AMT68 Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Impeccable build and a wonderful tribute. Also impressed with the two tone seats. 1

XYHARRY Posted Tuesday at 11:50 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:50 AM It's always good to see a tribute build, especially when they look this good. Really well done Heath, your father would be proud.

Thank you, I really enjoyed this one as I learned much more about the car and my father’s younger days while researching it (through my mother who is still alive). 1
Ragtop Man Posted Tuesday at 02:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:19 PM Never put two and two together, but, it sure looks like Limelight was the inspiration (maybe the mix formula?) for the old AMT Surf Green lacquer - ?
