Andrew McD Posted July 8 Posted July 8 The Revell '32 Ford Roadster. Painted Testors Wet Look Graphite Dust and cleared with Testors Wet Look Clear. The blower got a light coat of Tamiya Titanium Gold followed by a coat of Tamiya Smoke. The wheels, headlight/front shock assemblies, exhaust headers, windshield, and air cleaners all got a coat of Tamiya x-19 Smoke over the chrome. Wired distributor from Greg's Scale models and I even wired in the correct firing order!:) Seat and door cards are Tamiya XF-82 Ocean Grey 2 and Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey for a two tone interior. Radiator support rods cut from piano wire. A fun build. I have another in the stash which I'm imagining as a dry lakes/salt flats racer; we'll see how that idea develops. 17
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Great looking build. Always room for THE classic hot rod. I built a hot rod model with that style windshield frame and it was difficult to get the "glass" to seat properly. Hope yours was not a fight.
espo Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Beautiful looking paint finish and color. Like how detailed the engine.
Phildaupho Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Good looking Deuce. Great colour choice. Totally agree - there can never be too many
alan barton Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Nice work - that shade is not easy to make look nice. And no, there can never be too many - as much as I am a Model A guy because I own own, those 32s are so pretty! Cheers Alan
Zippi Posted July 9 Posted July 9 What a good looking 32 Ford Roadster there Andrew. Boy I really like the colors on this build. Love those front frenders. I have this kit somewhere in the stash.
Mike 1017 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Most Excellent. I have heard comments that the 1:1 1932 is the most customized car in history
XYHARRY Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Great colour choices on your roadster there Andrew and your smoke treatment looks great. Really well done.
Dragline Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Never enough duece's.. I like a squared off windshield instead of a Duvall. But that is simply a matter of preference. Unassuming paint choice allows it to blend a bit in a sea of reds and bright primary or candy colors. I dig it.
bamadon Posted July 9 Posted July 9 You're right, there can never be too many. That is a great color also.
TransAmMike Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Very cool, and like others have said, I really like that color 👍
STU111 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Agreed. There can never be too many, especially when they’re as good as this one! Top stuff. 👍🏻

Not sure what your question is but that is the windshield that came with the kit. Of course now that I'm looking closely at the photos I see there is space between the windshield frame and the body. A note to self to do better pre-paint fitting. 1

I didn't have too much difficulty with the glass but I now see there is some space between the windshield frame and the body.

Look forward to seeing what you do with this kit.
