Last Jeep I had (1974 CJ5 bought in 1980 used) had a brand new set of L60/15's on 10 inch chrome "wagon spoke" rims, would NOT drive it at the first sign of rain, slung mud/dirt/trash all up and down the sides, and at any speed to speak of, clear up on the hood & top......  Went to one of the local "accessory shops", bought a nice set of black wrinkle finish fender flares, problem solved.  Did not have the "Tonka-Toy" look, nor was it harsh on wheelbearings/hubs.....  I like a lot of the aftermarket rim/tire combos, but not those.....  Old fashioned, but, just me.  If someone's choice is those, well, your money, your vehicle, your prerogative......

I've got the same generation gmc. The only mod I've done is full sound deadening in the interior. Huge improvement.

Same, I have a 2002 F150 and beside the fact that it has a hard-to-find bolt pattern, I like the looks of the factory wheels. Plus, cheaper tires (16")!

The "safety" inspections were, frankly, a joke...so why bother?

No inspection of any kind (including emissions test) will be required in NH.

The safety inspections might be a joke but at least they did check if all the lights are working, steering linkages are tight, and tires aren't bald.  With all the yahoos driving around here at least that gave us a small piece of mind.  Emmisions were simply checked by connecting OBDII port to their computer and reading whatever parameters they needed.   Pre-OBDII cars weren't emission tested (there aren't many left).

Vids of people losing their tow vehicles in lakes or rivers on boat-ramps and even in the surf abound on YT too.

Hard to believe that level of ineptitude is so common, but then again...nah.

Here's a trend that even worse and definitely should be illegal. I can't understand how a person would think this looks good and let's not talk about the safety factor.

My 90 Chevy that I have complained about on another post here, 31x10 off road tires with stock rims, nothing outside the truck, and will soon be adding mud flaps, because I don't like slinging it all over.  But I love playing in it, always fun to watch faces of the 4x4 guys lol. 

I have bumper mount foglights, and a good tow hitch, and tow mirrors, as I will tow a camper trailer every so often. 

But I agree, if I want cool, I'll build a model.

My Truck does have a lot of Cabin noise. How did you get the sound deadening done?

I did it myself. Not difficult, but labor intensive and the materials can be costly, I used kilmat and silus products.mid-grade products, bang for your buck.I've got a single cab and did it over a weekend. FYI, just doing the doors will bring a big improvement.
