Alan - that 40% discount also works if you order online, and the shipping is reasonable. I normally order 9 kits at a time and they come in one box. 1

There are seldom 9 kits I want from H.L. at one time, unless the Online store shows kits that are not on the shelf.... 1

A Widget on the Homepage, that simply notes whether it is 40% off at Hobby Lobby each week. Since H.L. is 40% off every other week, it might be easy for somebody who 'speaks' computer to set up. Something simple. Just a "This week is 40% Off", or not tab. Helpful for those of us who are forgetful or can't get the H.L. to give us this info.... Not a bad idea. Might be a better idea to see if we can get Hobby Lobby to advertise here. Yup, selling ad space. It's on our list of wants/needs. 4

Bugatti Fan Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM When all the discussion is over and the changes are about to take place I guess that the forum will be off line for a short duration of 2 or 3 days to do the changes and check them ?

sidcharles Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM (edited) i think application for forum membership should have some type of competency examination. we don't want rabble to be interacting with respectable fellow modelers. a basic arithmetic evaluation, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing mixed fractions would be a great start. of course ability to change numbers into scale dimensions is a given. perhaps knowledge of three (3) model company histories would be helpful. there could also be a few basic full size automotive questions, which while not actually be scale model applicable, would demonstrate an ability to perform simple internet search engine functions. if a member chose to articulate a post in a particular writing style, e.e. cumming's for example, there might be a place in his profile which would note same. existing members might be required to start from square one in order to demonstrate their worthiness, and post at least one time per month in order to maintain status. deceased members could have the privilege of posting less frequently, but would have their posts moderated prior to being seen by the forum as a whole. any post with spelling errors highlighted might be grounds for negative points noted on a member's profile. gone undefended, an accumulation of say, ten points, would result in a three day suspension and requirement to resubmit (edited) the post with corrected spelling. I think Moebius should make a model of a goat hoose (wasn't that a GTO option package??), but maybe there already was one, and either the molds were destroyed in a train wreck, or are lost somewhere in China? stavanzer Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Bill, I nominate you to build the Goat Hoose, Mk I or Mk II. Either with or without the optional V-7 engine. You can use the either the Cragar or Keystone rims, just like the first 33 Production Cars used. 1
Bugatti Fan Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Nice member wind up posts Sid ! To qualify to use the forum would you frown on the Oxford English that I write in to be deemed incorrect regarding the spelling of many words as I don't type them in US English ? I'm English by the way ! There is a joke on this side of the pond that there is no such thing as US English. Why do Americans describe Oxford English as English European before some bright spark says it's because England is in Europe. Er, shouldn't this be in funnies ? LOL Edited 14 hours ago by Bugatti Fan 2

Hundreds of thousands of US college students (and grads) want to know. 5
