maxwell48098 Posted Sunday at 03:29 PM Posted Sunday at 03:29 PM At today's DAAM show in Waterford Twp, MI, Round2 announced that a Mack B-61 semi will be released a year from now. Didn't get to speak to anyone manning the display, so I'll let someone who did provide more details. 3

TECHMAN Posted Sunday at 05:02 PM Posted Sunday at 05:02 PM P L E A S E be a 1/25 scale kit!!!!!! Have one AITM resin cab-kit to build one of dad's (I grew up riding in), but would love to see a nice kit put out, and, as popular as the trucks were, has always amazed me that there was never a model kit done of it....... If they're gonna be 1/25 scale, can put me down for several. DJ
tim boyd Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM It is true. Gobsmacked! 1/25th scale, FULL DETAIL, all new tool. Target Q4 2026. Will post images and more later today....TIM 7
64Comet404 Posted Sunday at 07:45 PM Posted Sunday at 07:45 PM Please make it with tooling for two separate cabs (a day cab and the integrated sleeper). Much easier than trying to cut and putty cabs. To all those builders who have been hoarding the old resin/fibreglass cabs, better get building...

Maybe they could do a cab like the AMT Freightliner Cab-over kit, that could separate behind the doors, and have one rear section to complete the day cab, the other to complete the cab as the "integrated-sleeper" version??????????? 4 hours ago, tim boyd said: Full details here....TB TIM Any idea as to the engine???? The old Thermodyne hopefully...... Regardless, Will have three or four ordered as soon as they are available to be ordered. 👍👍 to Round 2 DJ 1

They are researching in further depth now involving various accredited sources and I suspect that is one of the decisions they will be making as they progress the project forward......Tim 2 1

I can see B-Mack being a developer's 'passion project' so let's hope it nails the subject. 3D development does not guarantee perfect fits or an easy build, but in a truck kit with a lot of parts, it will be leagues ahead of the old AMT E. Maple product. IMHO this is a HUGE gap filled in the hobby... I haven't built a truck since the '70s, but this will shove every other projects off my table when it arrives. The number of versions is infinite, and if it goes together well, is a springboard for the aftermarket in 3D and resin. Now, I'm going to buy up all the "Duel" DVDs and send them to South Bend... 4

Scott Eriksen Posted Tuesday at 12:06 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:06 AM I did a B-61 dump using a GSMT cab kit ,the AMT R685 and the Montone dump body from the Autocar kit ,will be interesting to see how they do this one as far as engine/chassis 7
Jim B Posted Tuesday at 12:33 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:33 AM With any luck, Round2 won't over chrome the kit like AMT did with their truck kits back in the day. 2

A 281 Pete would also be another HOME-RUN for Round 2!!!!! The B-Model Mack could be the thing that "opens the flood gate" when they see the sales go out thru the roof. Have to commend Round 2 for taking such a big step, and I truly believe they will be extremely well rewarded. DJ 2
Bennyg Posted Tuesday at 06:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:48 AM This is the best modelling news I’ve seen since the LoneStar got done. Cheers Ben 2
Gary Chastain Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM I’ll take two please, curious about new Mack model truck pricing and if they will mold the Mack in the US. 2
Radretireddad Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM Posted yesterday at 02:30 AM This is indeed a very unexpected surprise kit announcement. I’d be interested in one but I’m betting it’s going to be pretty expensive. If you get the chance, check out all the YouTube videos of the Macungie Pennsylvania historic truck show. The restored rigs that show up would rival any professional classic car restoration. 2

The best you could hope for there is something similar to what Salvinos JR has done where the tooling is done in China and then shipped to the U.S. for production. But then they'd have to find someone to run it on a contract basis here - all revolving around whether the facility in Michigan that holds all the Lindberg/Craft House kits can run something like that or not, or would want to...

That facility is no more. Round 2 has relocated what tooling remained the to the Chicago area.
