1/24 Lotus Esprit Sport 300 by Monogram

Hello,

This is a kit I built a long time ago, so the quality isn’t great and the colors look a bit weird.
As far as I remember, this was one of the European cars released by Monogram as part of their Exotic Car Series.
Like most Monogram kits, it wasn’t the easiest to assemble, but it does include a detailed engine, and once completed, it looks fairly decent overall.

The Monogram Esprit is such an obnoxious contradiction. Impressive levels of detail crippled by positively horrible fit.

Your build of this notorious kit looks fantastic! The choice of color really suits the car.

I have not seen a completed one, you did a fine job.  If you were to correct everything, it would still be a WIP. 😏

Always loved the look of the 1:1 cars so I'll happily join the others in congratulating you on building an outstanding replica.

Couple questions, if you don't mind.

1) The other builds of this kit I've followed usually mention that it has to be modified to reduce its high stance.  Did you experience this as well, and is it easily resolved?

2) Love the color.  Do you recall the exact paint you used?

The paint doesn't look weird to me and the color is super.  Really sharp looker.
