Coyote_6 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 So I had a couple AMT '53 Ford kits laying around and I really wanted a tree farm truck for this Christmas. Attempted to do a one day build but steering wheel issues pushed me out to a day and a half. I had already made the plaid seat cover decal almost a year ago, so I had everything I needed. Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings! (Tree and wreath inbound... and maybe a wood planked deck in the future too.) Probably too many photos, so thanks for looking. I had fun with this one for sure!! Steve 15 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Clean, clean, clean. Very nice. Always one of my favorite kits, and this build shows why. 1
Coyote_6 Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 @Zippi Thanks. It is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red over white plastic. Sometimes Tamiya works for me alone and sometimes it needs a clear over the color coat - I got lucky with this one.
espo Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Beautiful paint finish and like the color. The chrome body trim is cleanly done. Like the interior seat treatment. 1
carrucha Posted Friday at 08:48 PM Posted Friday at 08:48 PM Nice truck. The red paint really pops. 1
Coyote_6 Posted Sunday at 06:16 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:16 PM Finally got a tree and found time to make a wreath for the grill. The wreath is a thick green crafting pipe cleaner misted with white spray paint, thick red thread for a bow and some of the candy cookie sprinkles in red for the berries. (Hopefully the ants don't ever figure that out! Should tried to clear coat 'em first?) I may still mist the tree with white to make it pop, but don't want to over do it. Anyway, thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. 2
Sledsel Posted yesterday at 02:48 AM Posted yesterday at 02:48 AM Looks great! My Christmas truck has been stalled for 2 years.... Dunno what my issue is, they keep reissuing this kit and I feel compelled to by "another" So much can be done with this kit!!! 1
