Just finished up this Shoebox. It's a combo of both the AMT 49 Ford Coupe and AMT 50 Ford Convertible. I modified the convertible top to a steel hardtop, like a 51 Victoria, then grafted in a coupe rear window. Top is chopped, flush mounted skirts, narrowed 49 Merc bumpers. Colors are Testors Extreme Emerald Green and Tamiya Racing white. Enjoy!

Here's the video about it:

I'm following the HAMB model car thread and ran across this astonishing build. Total killer.

I have one in mind and am gathering parts for it. So far I have Modelhaus wide whites, some old Lancer hub caps, a Norm Veber Carson top, F&F cruiser skirts, a bunch of flathead goodies. I have to sift thru my lake pipes stash.

I de-chromed the bumpers and will shoot them with Revell chrome spray.

Awesome build Dan

I have been off work for a while now Dan recovering from a hip replacement and got pretty bored with watching TV so I started watching YouTube model building channels and discovered yours and I have to say I love it I have watched every video more than once Your models are all exceptional you are clearly a talented builder.

This is beautiful. I'm a big fan of the early customs. This one for me would get a little more consistant stare time when passing by the finished shelf.

I started on mine a couple days ago...I am inspired. I bought what I thought was a complete kit at a show.. not so fast. So I ordered up another one from Amazon.

I'll be using the '53 Ford flathead, so far. I have to paw through my 3D printed engine stash, maybe a Chevy 409...

I shaved the trim off the body, rescribed the lines.. fun. I'll do a thread on it soon.
