charlie8575 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Wel1...it's at the end of a long weekend, close enough for a Saturday, at least in mindset. One Revell 1956 Chevy Del Ray, after doing some paint touch-up. Charlie Larkin
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Pretty cool!! I'm def gonna have to get some pics together by tomorrow to put on here. Ive been working on a new bench set up too. It's neat seeing all the different set ups and what people are useing for this and that, ya know. Ron
crazyjim Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 The neighbors remodeled their kitchen and I was able to get some of their cabinets. That called for a total makeover of my hobby area. Now I even have the spraybooth in there with me. On the other side of the room is 16' of workbench for my stained glass - it also doubles as a staging area for my in progress kits and my molding/casting area.
richcrabman Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 not much to look at on mine.already posted here my two recent builds.....but might give it a tidy up rich
crazyjim Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Got the Nissan Skyline painted and cleared; the '65 Chevy pickup in prime; started a streetable '51 Henry J; and the '35 Auburn is getting a suspension.
Chuck Most Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) Settling into new digs as far as my work area goes. Not getting much done, because I intentionally left enough room on the bench for the laptop... But I did see a cool old Pinto wagon, AND a Scout II (the official Bigfoot hunting rig)... I've managed to put up a tack board, to help utilize some of that wasted wall space and keep stuff off the bench and out of drawers- And projects? Yeah, I've got a few of those... Somehow I ended up with one of Dr. Cranky's unwanted projects, a '51 Chevy hardtop A Turbine powered Beetle, which will probably become some kind of post Apocalyptic ride... '32 Chrysler Truckster tub... And the beginnings of a beater, rat rod... '95 Toyota Supra???? Edited June 12, 2011 by Chuck Most
DRG Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 OK, I know it's Sunday but I haven't touch my workbench in several days. Currently working on a Willy's. Yeah I know, my workbench is rather simple, but it works for me.
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I love the use of the pegboard guys, expecially to the side like that. Looks like its very handy. These are some pics of my current setup. I've been through a few so far. Havent had it setup this way for long but so far so good and im not finished with it yet. And I plan on trying to enjoy it this way as much as possible cause in about a year or less i'll be moving and more then likely will have to downsize. Which is fine Under the larger side of the table I have a drawer thats 3ft wide and 2ft deep that could support a build on its own or for some more storage. I plan on building another shelf next to the other one too (i think). But anyway here it is. And i'll include a couple pics of what models I have on it being worked on and whats waiting to be worked on. Thanks for looking and definately thanks to everyone for sharing.
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) And whats being worked on in the corner spot is the t bucket. To the left of the bucket waiting attention is a 66 chevy nova pro street. And to the right of the bucket is a 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster. Idea behind the boards is so that I can pick them up and take what I may need to work on and sit on the couch or outside or something if I want and build. Or I can just move them out of the way for something else etc... Thanks Edited June 12, 2011 by Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants
Chuck Most Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Come on guys, give me some ideas, thoughts or rants. Looks like you have a pretty good setup going. Oh, and I like the color combo on the Pontiac's interior!

Chuck Most Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 What I've been working on today, and possibly will continue working on into the evening. Except the Rat Wrecker, that's finished! Had to make a few repairs to my Rat Wrecker Rig- reglue the driver's mirror, replace a missing passenger mirror, and reattach the hook and chain to the boom. Started a '57 IH wrecker a couple of days ago, and I like where its going. (Note- Ed Shaver built the boom, the rest is my doing.) TRYING to get back into my rat rod groove... ... so I've got some inspiration up on the wall where my parts should be!
Nick Winter Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 (edited) Chuck, That wrecker is sweet, just needs a big old Wooden bumper on the front, for smacking Nissans. Nick Edited June 19, 2011 by Nick Winter
Chuck Most Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Have no fear, Nick- the '57 will have an ungodly cowcatcher of a front bumper by the time it's all done!
