Tijuanataxi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Wow LOTS of great deuces.... Well, here are some pics of mine... Yes, I know some of the pics are a little dark Inspired by Cole´s black and yellow deuce... AMT´s old 5 window, my favorite deuce model.... Another AMT 5 window, this having cheater slicks from MPC...
David G. Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Sorry about the name. I'll change it if anyone wants me to. No need, I thought it was kind of funny but in an "Eeeewwwwww!" sort of way.
samdiego Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Not ready to be out under the glass, here are three that are in front of me at the moment. The MPC Delivery is an old body that I came across while looking for something else. It dropped right onto the Revell frame so I stripped the old paint, gave it an angle chop and then shortened it through the doors instead of stretching the roof to make it fit. The other two are also chops that are in progress, but you can see where they are headed. Edited October 27, 2010 by samdiego
mrmike Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Here's mine! Built using the in-line 4 bbl. carb and air cleaner from the Revell Boss 302 kit, auto floor shifter, and painted Tamiya Italian Red.
Terry Sumner Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Hey! A topic I can play in! These were posted not too long ago but here goes... Both Revell kits. This one built pretty much OOB... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki On this one I chopped the top, installed the Jag rear end from the 28 Touring kit, scratched the exhaust, turned the mufflers, added p/e wire looms and muffler clamps and a few other things. slapshot Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 My First model that I have built since my child hood days. Love those 32"s
Lyle Willits Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) I had forgotten about this '32 Ford thread. Here's the Hot Rod School bus, for you young whippersnappers who haven't seen it before. RMR resin kit. Krylon yellow. Hemi from Revell 5-window kit. Wheels are (maybe) from a Prowler with '32 Ford caps added. Edited October 28, 2010 by Lyle Willits
Jantrix Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Hmm..............the ONLY deuce I've ever done is this Monogram build-up from the my teens. I'm very pleased to still have it. I have the Revell roadster, 3 window and sedan in my stash, but have yet to tear into them. My son William has finished this Revell kit.
ChrisR Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) My only 1932 Ford, but not the last as I have many in my stash. The Revell Highboy with the engine from the 5 Window Coupe, Duval windscreen and cowl from the AMT Phantom Vicky, modified wheels from Tamiya Ferrari Mythos with AMT 1934 Ford wheel caps and SATCO tyres. Excuse the fussy pictures but I am still trying to come to grips with my new camera. Edited November 7, 2010 by vw1953
kh58ford Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Just wanted to say I really like all the nice Deuces in this tread and it gives me some ideas on future projects. Here are before and after picts of the restoration I did on a Monogram Little Deuce. Hope you enjoy.
CEKPETHO BCE Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 These models are sick. Let's keep this going.
Bernard Kron Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Wow! Lotsa cool rides have been posted since I first showed mine 15 months ago (Yikes!). Since then I built four more Deuces (Yikes again!). bsoder Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Man!...what a bunch of great looking '32s , here's my one and only ...so far
maltsr Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Eight so far - 4 Revell, 2 AMT and 2 resin (with Revell donor)
Draggon Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I finished this one up awhile back. Over the years I got so used to the AMT body that nowadays the more accurate Revell offering looks strange to me. And here are a couple in progress. SLOW progress!
Rob Z Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 There sure are a ton of great looking Deuces' here, hard to pick out my favorite one they are all my favorite... The '32 has to be hands down my favorite model car to work with because, it's so versatile and easy to personalize... Heres the only 2 complete '32's I have but, my stash contains quite a few more including a 1/8 monster that I will definately need to figure out where to display it even before I crack the plastic on the box... 1/87 Jordan 5 window kit. Revells 3 Window with a MCG hood and PE pieces...
VW Dave Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 My most recent '32 Ford made it to the primer table at the NNL East, and I'm slowly picking away at it. It started as a mule for a tutorial on channeling, and I decided to make it a complete car after a few inspirational trips to the 'Right Coast Rods' exhibit at our local car museum.
dragmodeler1 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 How'd you do that grill on the yeller one rob?
Frank Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Here are a few of mine as can be seen I don't favour any body style.
