Am I the only one who thinks something here is missing? Look in the paper- what paper? For what store? I thought Stevens was a wholesaler? Tuesday Morning? :)

"komm-yuun-eh-kay-shun" :D;)

I used to work at a Tuesday Morning. It's the strangest and coolest store all in one. An upscale Big Lots is exactly how to describe it.

I hope my local one has a couple of those Ford C-900's at $20 they are half what most hobby shops want. I wonder what other models might be in stores. Not every store gets everything.

A local TM has the Commando, Ford C-cab, AMT (orange truck) snowplow, lots of 1/32 Lindberg '51 Chevies (and a few other Lindy 1/32 kits), the Moon Mixer and (I think) Meter Cheater.

It's tough to beat $10.00 for a sealed kit, provided you like the subject matter.

I've never heard of Tuesday Morning, just Tuesday Afternnoon............

Well, obviously if there's a Tuesday afternoon, there had to be a Tuesday morning before that!!! :P

Tuesday, Tuesday. Tuesday Morning gave me no warning of what was to be...

You can never tell what they'll have.

The one here only has the Model A police car and the lil mixer. I have never built either. Are they worth buying?

The police car is actually a Model T, and it's a cool kit. It has a few old police accessories, as well as hot rod parts for the original 4 cylinder and I think there's an extra set of custom wheels, even though there aren't any tires for them since the stock tires don't fit them.

I bought one of the mixers out of curiosity, and wasn't impressed. It's a show rod, kind of silly looking, and IMO the engine isn't nice enough to use elsewhere, so I threw it on the stack of stuff to trade.

Thank you for the info. I went there today and bought the mixer before I read this. I figured that at the least I could use the tires and engine.

Not one model at mine. Language challenged personnell didnt know what a model car was. Nothing but the usual thrift store knockoff electronics, housewares, and gobs of clothing and cheap toys. GRRRRRR!

Spotted one in Mooresville, NC and stopped in. Much like Dave and his experience in VA, I did not find any evidence of model kits and the two high schoolers working the register were more interested in gossip than customer service.

I might hit one near my house in Charlotte but I wonder if the kits are a hit and miss proposition- some stores get them and others don't?

Checked the two here in the Daytona area. 32nd scale Lindberg kits at one and Mono. plane kits and Italeri tank kits at the other. I will have to start keeping track in the future.
