This one is one of my favourites, as I tried quite a few new things on it. I know the engine is not technically correct, but I don't build that way. I'll let the pictures do the talking. glenn Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 some nice detail work there but I know that you know the engine setup is wrong but I will point out the turbo system is wrong incase you did think its right,you have the outlet of the turbo(compressor side)going straight into the inlet manifold which is ok but you have an intercooler set up which is supposed to have the outlet pipe from the turbo run through the intercooler and then into the inlet manifold,where you have the pipes running into the intercooler is where you should be mounting the air filters,great work otherwise

Talk about Over-Kill....you have Twin turbo's feeding a Supercharger....how will that engine hold it's self together under a heavy load???? Seriously...that is a cool build!

I can see where it can be commented on though, because I myself can't SEE where the AIR goes in. But ya know what? WHO CARES!!! it LOOKS GREAT!!!! And THAT'S ALL THAT COUNTS! You seem to be happy with how it looks , and I don't blame you,I like it and I think it looks GREAT! Excellent paint, color choice, engine detail, (even if it's not perfect!) wheels, it came out NICE!!!!! :)

Every model ever built differs from another in so many ways! this is one crazy cool lookin build-up. @ Mr. Lombardo never mind pre-load and all that good stuff gotta worry bout how much rubber is left on the tires LOL Now thats a considerable amount of power comin from this brute!!! Foxer Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 ya .. who cares that the plumbing isn't perfect.. it looks fantastic! Too bad it doesn't have a hinged front clip to show it all off. I'm curious what you used for the blue connectors on the turbo plumbing .. I have one in the works that was getting the same treatment.

Believe in me... at moment I didn't know if existed a supercharged & twin turbo engine. I was never seen one before... I was go to google and I found a lots of them. I know the engine isn't perfect and would never run, but the idea was that the intercooler at the front was instead the induction system for the turbos. I thought about having the front removable, but at that stage I had got too far into the build and it was getting out of hand, hence the reason it doesn't. The supercharger belt is made from Modellers seatbelt material. The turbo plumbing is solder and the connectors are made from blue heatshrink material, with signwriting vinyl for the straps and a photoetch nut. BMF would probably work but it didn't seem to stick as well. Once again, thanks everyone.

I remember many years ago seeing an article on a super charged Testarossa with twin turbos. What a beast!! Thanks for sharing,
